Magnetic chip detectors and associated for detecting metallic chips in engine fluid of an engine are provided. A magnetic chip detector includes first and second magnetic chip capture zones. The first magnetic chip capture zone includes a first electrically conductive terminal spaced apart from a second electrically conductive terminal to define a first chip-receiving gap therebetween. The second magnetic chip capture zone includes a third electrically conductive terminal and either the second electrically conductive terminal or a fourth electrically conductive terminal to define a second chip-receiving gap therebetween. The magnetic chip detector includes an electric circuit including both the first chip-receiving gap and the second chip-receiving gap. The electric circuit provides an output indicative of a chip detection by one or both of the first magnetic chip capture zone and the second magnetic capture zone.
POWER TRANSMISSION DEVICE FOR HELICOPTER
A transmission device includes a casing accommodating a transmission gear and having an oil sump for retaining oil. The oil in the oil sump flows from a lubrication pump through a lubrication passage and is injected to the transmission gear. A connection portion is provided in a part of the lubrication passage, which part is disposed outside the casing. A direction control valve is provided downstream of the lubrication pump and upstream of the connection portion in the lubrication passage with respect to a flow direction of the oil. The direction control valve is configured to open the lubrication passage when a hydraulic pressure in the lubrication passage exceeds a predetermined value and to close the lubrication passage when the hydraulic pressure is equal to or lower than the predetermined value.

Monitoring system for pump with mechanical seal lubrication arrangement
Systems and methods are provided for remotely monitoring liquid lubricant levels for pump equipment. A system includes a reservoir to store lubricant and a lubrication gland to expose a shaft seal of the pump equipment to the lubricant. A feed line and a return line circulate the lubricant between the reservoir and the lubrication gland. A level sensor is configured to measure a fluid level in the reservoir. The level sensor uses a communication interface to transmit fluid level data a monitoring device mounted to the pump equipment. The monitoring device is configured to compare the fluid level data against stored alert thresholds and send, to a provider network, an alert signal when the fluid level data is below an alert threshold. If the fluid level data is not below an alert threshold, the monitoring device stores the fluid level data for periodic reporting.
Oil filter with impending and full-bypass indicators
A removable oil filter system includes an oil filter mount, an oil filter element removably connected to the oil filter mount, an impending-bypass indicator connected to the oil filter mount and in fluid communication with an oil in the oil filter system, and a full-bypass indicator in fluid communication with the oil filter mount. The impending-bypass indicator is capable of reporting an impending-bypass condition of the oil filter system. The full-bypass indicator is capable of reporting a full-bypass condition of the oil filter system.

The impending-bypass indicator is capable of reporting an impending-bypass condition of the oil filter system. The full-bypass indicator is capable of reporting a full-bypass condition of the oil filter system.
Rolling Bearing Device
A rolling bearing device includes a first bearing section including a first outer ring, a first inner ring, and a plurality of balls, each of which is made of metal, and a second bearing section including a second outer ring, a second inner ring, and a plurality of balls, each of which is made of metal. The first inner ring and the second inner ring are electrically connected to each other, and the first outer ring and the second outer ring are electrically insulated from each other. The first outer ring is provided with an input contact for an electric signal, and the second outer ring is provided with an output contact for the electric signal.
Devices, systems and methods for monitoring lubrication of a tool
A device for monitoring a lubrication of a tool may include: a housing including: a lubricator connector configured to connect the housing to a lubricator and including a lubricant inlet opening, a chamber configured to receive a lubricant from the lubricator through the lubricant inlet opening, a tool connector configured to connect the housing to a lubricant fitting of a tool and including a lubricator outlet opening through which the lubricant leaves the chamber; and a pressure transducer configured to measure a lubricant pressure in the chamber of the housing and generate an output pressure signal related thereto.
