Systems and methods for automatic maintenance of lube oil quality include a storage tank for storing fresh lube oil, a lube oil reservoir containing a volume of operational lube oil, and an oil disposal tank. A first controllable flow system transports lube oil from the reservoir to the oil disposal tank, and a second controllable flow system transports fresh lube oil from the storage tank to the reservoir. Provided are a level transmitter to measure a level of lube oil within the reservoir and an antioxidant sensor to measure a concentration of antioxidant level inside the lube oil reservoir. A control system activates and deactivates the first controllable flow system based upon the concentration of antioxidant measured by the antioxidant sensor, and activates and deactivates the second controllable flow system based upon the level of lube oil measured by the level transmitter.

The lubrication apparatus further includes a first sensor unit disposed on a second portion of the base. The lubrication apparatus further includes a fluid actuation mechanism coupled to the first sensor unit. The fluid actuation mechanism includes an actuation member disposed in the first storage section.

A lubrication apparatus for a component is provided. The lubrication apparatus includes a base positioned on a support. The lubrication apparatus further includes a chamber disposed on a first portion of the base. An oil funnel for use in draining the oil from an automotive engine oil pan. The upper end of the oil funnel is selectively magnetically attached to the bottom of the oil pan around the drain plug thereof. The oil funnel has a semi-circular slot formed therein. A flexible tubular member, having an open outer end and a closed inner end, is positioned in the oil funnel inwardly of the slot. The user of the oil funnel may insert the user's thumb, index finger and perhaps the user's middle finger inwardly through the slot and into the interior of the tubular member whereby the user may remove the drain plug from the oil pan without coming into direct contact with the drain plug. The flexible tubular member prevents the draining oil from coming into contact with the user's hand.

The spillage containment system is designed to receive heavy equipment, e.g., for stowage, and to catch and contain any liquid or other debris that the heavy equipment may leak (e.g., oil or other environmentally harmful chemicals). The system includes a base large enough to receive the heavy equipment, and left, right, and back side walls. The system also includes a front drive-over device including an upward ramp opposing a downward ramp. The heavy equipment may drive over the drive-over device to be placed on the base. The drive-over device, and the left, right, and back sidewalls define a sealed inner volume within which the heavy equipment may be stowed.

A state detector detects a change in electrical output from the electrical circuit when metal pieces adhere between the pair of permanent magnets, thereby detecting the state of the metal pieces contained in the lubricating oil.
