This application relates to a battery operated grease gun comprising a body able to be connected to a container configured to store grease, the body defining first and second elongate chambers therein, the first chamber extending along a first axis and the second chamber extending along a second axis, the first axis being spaced from the second axis, and the second chamber having a smaller cross-sectional area than the first chamber; first and second pistons, the first piston configured to reciprocate within the first chamber along the first axis and the second piston configured to reciprocate within the second chamber along the second axis, the second piston having a smaller cross-sectional area than the first piston; a common grease channel, the common grease channel being disposed between the container and the first and second chambers such that the grease is able to flow from the container into the first and second chambers; an actuator connected to the body and moveable between a retracted position, whereby grease is able to flow through the common grease channel, and an engaged position, whereby grease is restricted from flowing through the common grease channel, the actuator being configured to cause reciprocation of the first piston and the second piston when moved between the engaged and retracted positions; and a grease outlet fluidically connected to the first and second chambers that allows for grease to be discharged from the grease gun. The battery operated grease gun may further comprise a high pressure/high flow switch in the form of a pressure-sensitive spool, bypass valve or gap-based bypass.

Frack valve greasing system

A greasing system may be placed partially within the red zone and partially outside of the red zone. Grease and pneumatic power is supplied from outside of the red zone to a pod, inside of the red zone, having local storage, high-pressure pumping capacity, and a distribution mechanism. The grease is supplied from outside of the red zone to the pod at low-pressure through a hose having at least a 1 inch inside diameter and is usually at least 100 feet long. The pod pressurizes the grease to a high-pressure and distributes the grease via a distribution mechanism to a relatively short hose, generally less than 8 feet between the distribution mechanism and the greasing point on the wellhead, in order to minimize pressure losses.

Method of manufacturing thermo valve and thermo valve

A method of manufacturing a thermo valve includes an overlaying step of overlaying a valve body onto a thermo actuator so as to cover a groove portion; and a caulking step of caulking an installing portion of the valve body onto the thermo actuator. The caulking step is performed by pressing, by use of a jig, the valve body and the thermo actuator toward an axis center in a radial direction. A pressing face of the jig has a short side portion and a long side portion longer than the short side portion. Pressing is performed with the long side portion being substantially in parallel to the axis center of the thermo actuator and the short side portion being substantially in parallel to the groove portion.

An engine oil supply apparatus includes: an oil pump; an oil supply path which supplies oil to a hydraulic operating section of an engine; an oil cooler which is provided on the oil supply path and which cools oil discharged from the oil pump; and a control apparatus which sets a required oil pressure required from the hydraulic operating section in accordance with an operation state of the engine, as a target oil pressure, and controls the discharge amount of the oil pump so that an oil pressure inside the oil supply path equals the target oil pressure. The control apparatus controls the oil pump so that, during an operation state of the engine where the oil enters a prescribed high oil temperature state, the oil is discharged in an amount exceeding a discharge amount corresponding to the required oil pressure of the hydraulic operating section.

Oil pump pressure relief valve layout

A pressure relief valve includes a valve housing having an inlet end with an inlet opening having a valve seat surface surrounding the inlet opening. The valve housing defines an outlet end with a plurality of outlet holes and a valve chamber disposed between the valve seat and the outlet end. One of the plurality of outlet holes has a smaller cross section than the other outlet holes. The valve chamber includes a plurality of radially protruding grooves extending radially beyond a base diameter. One of the plurality of radially protruding grooves has a groove cross section that is smaller than a groove cross section of the remaining grooves, which along with the smaller outlet hole cause a lateral pressure imbalance on the valve member so that the valve member tends to remain in contact with a side of the valve seat while permitting relief flow.

Engine oil supply apparatus

An oil supply apparatus includes: an oil pump; a main oil supply path; a sub oil supply path connected to the main oil supply path; a first oil supply section which is connected to the main oil supply path and which supplies oil to a crank bearing section of a specific crank journal; a second oil supply section which is connected to the sub oil supply path and which supplies oil to a crank bearing section of a crank journal other than the specific crank journal; and a control apparatus which sets, as a target oil pressure, a highest required oil pressure among required oil pressures required from a plurality of hydraulic operating sections in accordance with an operation state of the engine, and which controls the discharge amount of the oil pump so that an oil pressure detected by an oil pressure sensor equals the target oil pressure.

A method of manufacturing a thermo valve includes an overlaying step of overlaying a valve body onto a thermo actuator so as to cover a groove portion; and a caulking step of caulking an installing portion of the valve body onto the thermo actuator. The caulking step is performed by pressing, by use of a jig, the valve body and the thermo actuator toward an axis center in a radial direction. A pressing face of the jig has a short side portion and a long side portion longer than the short side portion. Pressing is performed with the long side portion being substantially in parallel to the axis center of the thermo actuator and the short side portion being substantially in parallel to the groove portion.

Grease collection arrangement

Provided is a grease collection arrangement for collecting waste grease from a bearing, including a plurality of grease extraction valves, wherein each grease extraction valve is connected to a grease outlet of the bearing, an extraction line extending from each grease extraction valve to a common extraction line, a vacuum apparatus configured to create an under-pressure in the extraction lines, and a control module configured to selectively open and close a grease extraction valve. Also provided is a method of collecting waste grease from a bearing lubrication circuit using the grease collection arrangement.

A tube is received in the passage and having a first end open to the bearing cavity and a second end open to the ambient chamber, the second end adapted to be connected to a conduit for fluid communication between the bearing cavity and the through the tube, wherein a portion of or near the first end of the tube is sealingly joined to the at least one wall, and the second end of the tube contacts the at least one wall and is free to move relative to the at least one wall.
