Lockout prevention system for electrical disconnects/safety switches
11306513 · 2022-04-19 ·

A lockout prevention system for safety switches. The system may be universal, in that it may be installed on various different brands and styles of industrial safety switch gear boxes. The system blocks a locking aperture when a lever arm is in a “non-off position” (e.g. displaced away from the “off” position). This prevents users from accidentally locking a padlock in the locking aperture while the switch is in an “on position”. The system still allows a user to lock the lever arm in the “off position”. The device may be universally mounted to switch boxes using two or more bolts. Further, the system is height-adjustable.

Control system for controlling the access to tissue paper converting lines and the like, and related method

A web material converting line is disclosed, in particular for converting tissue paper, including a plurality of converting sections arranged in sequence along a feeding direction of a web material to be converted, each section including a converting machine; at least one converting section of the converting line includes a detection system for detecting the presence of people near the converting section. The detection system includes at least a first presence sensor and is adapted to detect the presence of people in at least a controlled area. The controlled area is subdivided into an accessible area that can be accessed when the line is working, and an alarm area. The detection system is adapted to distinguish between the presence of an individual in the accessible area and the presence of an individual in the alarm area. The detection system is connected to a control unit adapted to intervene on the operation of the converting section based on information provided by the detection system.

Activation system for an emergency stop system
20230392747 · 2023-12-07 ·

A system for actuating a stop system for a conveyor includes a plurality of mounting plates configured for coupling to a conveyor. A slot is formed in each mounting plate to receive a bobbin extending generally perpendicular to the mounting plate. The bobbins each have an elongated body configured for sliding into a slot of a respective mounting plate and for extending from each side of the mounting plate. A gate element is configured to removably couple with a respective mounting plate to span the slot and contain the bobbin. A passage is formed longitudinally through each elongated bobbin body to receive a cable that spans along the conveyor and moves freely in the bobbins for actuating a stop system when pulled.

A resistance welding pinch protection system for use with a resistance welder, comprising a sensor array adapted to be secured around the base of a positive electrode of the resistance welder, the sensor array including a plurality of proximity sensors positioned along a perimeter of the sensor array, the plurality of proximity sensors defining an electrode operation field around the positive electrode, an input/output interface to be operatively connected to the resistance welder, and at least one processor in communication with the plurality of proximity sensors and the input/output interface, wherein in use, during the lowering of the positive electrode, the at least one processor interrupts the control signal to the resistance welding controller in order to stop the welding sequence, raising the positive electrode in response to the detection of an obstacle within the electrode operation field.

Safety valve for hydraulic or pneumatic tool
11112018 · 2021-09-07 · ·

Provided is a safety valve (10) comprising a body (12) which defines an incoming fluid passage (14) and a return fluid passage (20). The incoming fluid passage (14) generally enables a fluid to pass from a fluid reservoir (18) through the body (12) to the tool head (16). The return fluid passage (20) generally enables a fluid to return from the tool head (16) through the body back to the fluid reservoir (18). The body (12) further comprises a diverter (22) which is displaceable between an active position and an inactive position. When the diverter (22) is in the active position, the diverter (22) redirects the fluid via a shunting passage (24) from the incoming fluid passage (14) to the return passage (20) to prevent operation of the tool head (16).
