Portable Refueling Device

The present invention provides a portable refueler for storing a quantity of gaseous fuel, optionally hydrogen, for refueling an end-user vehicle, comprising: a plurality of storage tanks, each storage tank comprising at least one cylinder which is horizontally arranged within an enclosure, wherein the enclosure is configured to be carried by a vehicle, and, a refueling nozzle for discharging a quantity of the gaseous fuel to the end-user vehicle during refueling.

ADVANCED CASCADE FILLING OF RECEIVING VESSELS

A method of refueling a receiving vessel system with a gas from a supply vessel system, where the receiving vessel system is connected to the supply vessel system via a flow line, the receiving vessel system comprising including a plurality of receiving vessels and the supply vessel system having a plurality of supply vessels, where the flow of gas from the supply vessel system to the receiving vessel system is controlled by a refueling controller based on information related to pressure from the plurality of supply vessels and from the plurality of receiving vessels, and, on the received information, a match between a supply vessel and a receiving vessel is determined and based on the match, controlling the status at least one supply vessel valve and at least one receiving vessel valve to allow flow between the matched supply vessel and receiving vessel.

FUEL TRANSFER STATION AND REFILLABLE FUEL CELL FOR FUEL TRANSFER STATION

A fuel transfer station may provide for the refilling of fuel canisters providing fuel to combustion powered equipment. The fuel transfer station may include a base, a frame coupled to the base, a first connection port and a second connection port provided in the base, and fluid flow lines connecting the first connection port and the second connection port. A supply tank may be supported by the frame and detachably connected to the first connection port. A fuel canister to be refilled may be detachably connected to the second connection port. Fuel contained in the supply tank may be selectively supplied to the fuel canister through the fluid flow lines in response to a pressure gradient drawing the fuel into the fuel canister.

Embodiments of systems and methods for transporting fuel and carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) in a dual-fluid vessel thereby minimizing transportation between locations are disclosed. In an embodiment, the dual-fluid vessel has an outer shell with two or more inner compartments, positioned within the outer shell, including a first inner compartment for storing CO.sub.2 and a second inner compartment for storing fuel. The dual-fluid vessel may connect or attach to a transportation vehicle to thereby allow transportation of the fuel and CO.sub.2. Insulation may provide temperature regulation for the fuel and CO.sub.2 when positioned in the respective first and second inner compartments. One or more ports having an opening in and through the outer shell and a fluid pathway to one or more of the first inner compartment or the second inner compartment may provide fluid communication through the opening and fluid pathway for loading/offloading the fuel and/or CO.sub.2.

A method for providing a fuel includes providing a partially purified biogas at a first processing site, where the partially purified biogas is produced by multiple biogas sources and/or from multiple feedstock sources. The partially purified biogas is compressed, fed to a mobile tank, and transported by vehicle to a second processing site. At the second processing site, which may also receive biogas from a plurality of biogas sources, the partially purified biogas is further processed to produce a fuel or fuel intermediate.
