A light source suitable for being thrown or projected into an airborne trajectory for the purpose of illuminating a subject or environment; and a throwable light source capable of receiving a signal over a wireless network in order to illuminate a subject in synchronization with a throwable camera on the network; and throwable light sources capable of receiving respective signals over a wireless network in order to illuminate a subject in synchronization with a throwable camera on the network.

Flashlight with USB Charger

A flashlight is provided. The flashlight includes a frame defined by a rail that extends around a central opening predominantly within a single plane, a mounting loop extending outboard of the frame on a first end, a planar circuit board disposed within the central opening. The plane of the circuit board coincident with the plane of the frame, an LED light disposed on the circuit board, where a light emitting end of the LED light extending through the frame on a second end of the frame opposite the first end. A rechargeable battery is disposed on the circuit board, a switch is provided that couples the battery to the LED light. An actuator of the switch extends through the frame between the first and second ends, a USB connector is disposed on the circuit board, the USB connector extends through the frame between the first and second ends and a battery charger is disposed on the circuit board that charges the battery via energy received through the USB connector.

Dual focus flashlight

Disclosed are flashlights that optimize the light output and beam focus of both a flood beam and a spot beam. The disclosed flashlights include a housing member and a lens including a first focusing element adapted to shape a light beam into a spot beam and a second focusing element adapted to shape a light beam into a flood beam. A first LED is positioned to direct light through the first focusing element, and a second LED positioned to direct light through the second focusing element. The first LED has a smaller die than the second LED, and the distance between the first LED and the first focusing element is greater than the distance between the second LED and the second focusing element.

Light tower

LIGHTED POWER TOOL

An electric grinding tool includes a motor housing coupleable to an electrical power source, a motor configured to receive power from the electrical power source and including an output shaft extending along a motor axis, a handgrip coupled to and coaxial with the motor housing, a tool holder rotatably driven upon rotation of the motor, the tool holder configured to receive a shaft of a grinding accessory, and a light unit coupled to and at least partially recessed in a front end portion of the electric grinding tool. The light unit includes a plurality of lights mounted to an at least partially ring shaped printed circuit board that is received in a support ring, and a cover ring received over the lights.

Combined flashlight and lantern

A combined flashlight and lantern can have a light powered by a metal-air fuel cell that runs, or is activated, by water or an electrolyte such as salt water. The combined flashlight and lantern has both flashlight and lantern configurations. In the flashlight configuration, a head with a distal concave reflector is disposed towards a handle with the light in an aperture of the distal concave reflector to direct light axially. The distal concave reflector is opaque to resist light from emitting laterally therefrom. In the lantern configuration, the head with a distal convex reflector is disposed away from the handle and opposing a proximal convex reflector to direct light radially.
