System of interconnectable portable lighting devices
A portable lighting device includes a body having an input port supported on an exterior surface of the body and an output port supported on the exterior surface of the body. The input port is operable to receive power from a power source and the output port is operable to transfer power to an external device. The portable lighting device also includes a support member coupled to the body. The support member is configured to hang the portable lighting device from a support structure. The portable lighting device further includes a lighting unit that extends downward from the body. The lighting unit is electrically coupled to the input port to receive power from the power source.

LIGHTED HEADGEAR
There is provided a dynamically activated headlamp for being worn on a user's head, the dynamically activated headlamp including a light module, a primary light source for directing light in a forward direction relative to the user's head, a plurality of peripheral light sources arranged about a periphery of the primary light source for directing light in corresponding peripheral directions relative to the user's head, and a motion sensor configured to detect movement of the user's head. The dynamically activated headlamp includes a controller to automatically activate one or more of the peripheral light sources in response to movement of the user's head detected by the motion sensor when the detected movement meets a predetermined light activation parameter, and automatically deactivate the one or more peripheral light sources in response to detection of a predetermined light deactivation parameter.

Lighting apparatus
A lighting apparatus includes a base dimensioned to be portable by an adult and one or more lamps extending upwardly from the base. A plurality of openings are defined in the base, in order to enable an operator to couple the base to a surface or to a scaffolding tube. The lamps have a longitudinal portion that prevents passage of light. In one embodiments, the lighting fixture includes two elongated lamps that are joined by a bridge at their upper ends.

Remote control of illuminating headlamp
A remote control operation of an illuminated unit attached to a headset consisting of a headband and at least one optical device providing illumination at a known distance from the optical device attached to the headband is disclosed. The remote control unit incorporates a sensing unit that causes power to be switched on and off by the detection of motion in front of the sensing unit. In addition, the illumination may be increased or decreased based on a signal strength of a detected remote sensing signal.
PORTABLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
The present invention provides a portable lighting assembly for attachment to a vehicle for the illumination of a defined area. The assembly includes a mount configured to couple to the hitch of a vehicle. Additionally, a lighting unit is configured to illuminate the defined area. An extension device is in communication with the mount and configured to elevate and orient the lighting unit. A power element is configured to supply the lighting unit with electrical energy. The portable lighting assembly is coupled directly to a vehicle.
