ILLUMINATION
20210310622 · 2021-10-07 ·

A method is described for deploying one or more illumination devices. The or each illumination device is self-contained and has a first state in which it is inoperative and a second state in which it is operative to provide illumination at at least one frequency within the range from and including infrared to and including ultraviolet. The method comprises the steps, optionally repeated at intervals, of: actuating a mechanism to move a said illumination device from a housing storing one or more illumination devices to an exposed position outside the housing; and automatically changing the state of the illumination device from its first state to its second state as a direct result of movement of the illumination device from within the housing to the exposed position.

TORCH POLE WITH EASE OF INSTALLATION FEATURES

A torch pole having a top, a bottom, and a length between the top and bottom. A step is affixed to the torch pole and is free to pivot between a lower position where the step protrudes from the torch pole and an upper position where the step is folded to the torch pole.

Torch pole with ease of installation features

A torch pole assembly including a torch pole having a top, a bottom, and a length between the top and bottom. An opening passes through the torch pole transverse to its length. A step comprises a pair of spaced apart sidewalls, each defining a sidewall opening situated on the common axis, and a floor spanning between the sidewalls and spaced apart from the sidewall openings. An axle occupies the common axis and passes through the pair of sidewall openings and the torch pole opening. The step is rotatable from a parallel position to a perpendicular position in which the floor is perpendicular to the length of the torch pole, the step floor defining a cutout proximate the collar that receives and contacts the collar when the step is in the perpendicular position thereby preventing the step from rotation beyond the perpendicular position.

Flare stand

A flare stand is provided. The flare stand has a first stand member and a second stand member rotatable with respect to the first stand member between an open working position and a folded position. In the open working position, the flare stand is configured for supporting a flare in a substantially upright position. In the folded position, the first and second stand members substantially overlap in the vertical plane for a reduced footprint of the flare stand. A flare support structure, arranged on the second stand member is configured for supporting the flare in the upright position. The first and second stand members engage a ground surface in the open working position to maintain the flare in the upright position. The flare stand is used to hold a flare in the upright position, but may be folded into the reduced footprint device for storage.

Tiki torch holder kit

A gas torch includes a base couplable to a gas source supplying gaseous fuel and gas ports formed in a top surface of the base to emit gas upwardly therefrom. A plurality of diverters is stacked in a spaced apart relationship directly above the base, each diverter having an inner edge and an outer edge. Each diverter is positioned above a lower diverter so that the inner edge and the outer edge are positioned intermediate one of the inner edge and the outer edge of the lower diverter. The lowest diverter, that which is adjacent the base, is positioned such that the gas ports are positioned directly underlying and intermediate the inner edge and the outer edge thereof.
