The present invention is to direct sunlight through the Solar Polymer Light Bar using an exposed solid polymer bar or equivalent through a roof pipe flange down into a flush mounted ceiling light canister and a wide variety of mounting fixtures, including one or more interconnected light canisters, whereby the Solar Polymer Light Bar may be bent as required to avoid roof structural elements and ceiling structural elements when being installed. Optional light gathering and light emitting enhancement means can be added at the upper portion and lower portion of the solid polymer light bar, respectively. Solar powered, battery powered or house AC or DC transformer powered LEDs, CFLs or conventional incandescent light bulbs may be added to increase the light intensity emitted through the night time and dark hours if desired.

A walkable skylight lighting system, installed to a roofing structure, including a skylight having a pane and framing members that surround and support the pane, and including a paving surface, the paving surface having a plurality of pavers that extend immediately adjacent to the skylight. The pane is an insulating glass unit (IGU) having structural glass panels and a thermal panel that are separated and sealed by a spacer, and separately supported so that they do not crush the spacer. The framing members include an upper framing member that has a lighting channel containing an LED lighting strip that edge lights the structural glass panels in the pane.

The present invention relates to a candle which includes a base unit and a candle body which is mounted to the base unit. The candle body includes a wick and a fibre optic running therethrough. The base unit includes a light sensor configured to detect light from the wick, when lit. There is additionally provided a light source configured to operate in dependence on detection of light by the light sensor.
