A planar lighting device according to an embodiment includes a light guide plate and a reflecting member. The light guide plate has an incident surface that receives light output from a light source and an output surface that outputs the light received by the incident surface. The reflecting member faces an end surface opposite to the incident surface of the light guide plate and reflects light leaking from the end surface. A plurality of first prisms are formed on an opposite surface opposite to the output surface-of the light guide plate to be away from the output surface stepwise from the incident surface to the end surface. The first prisms cause the light reflected by the reflecting member and traveling from the end surface toward the incident surface to be output from the output surface in a first direction as first light and cause the light entering into the incident surface and traveling from the incident surface toward the end surface to be output from the output surface in a second direction different from the first direction as second light.

Disclosed is a case structure for a rear combination lamp in an automobile in which a rear combination lamp case in a corner portion formed in a rear portion of a vehicle is formed in a corner case having a substantial triangle pyramid shape by a rear plate, a side plate and a planner plate, wherein the rear plate forms a case rear face on which a concave notch portion is formed in a substantial center, wherein the side plate forms an air communication side face which is formed so as to gradually become narrower width toward a rear thereof, and wherein the planner plate forms a concave air communication path in a center thereof so that a terminal end of the concave air communication path communicates with the concave notch portion of the rear plate.

Vehicular lighting device
A first light source illuminates a first region. A second light source is configured to provide lower luminance than that of the first light source. The second light source illuminates a second region that overlaps the first region, and that has a larger area than that of the first region. A lighting circuit drives the first light source and the second light source according to a common lighting instruction. The lighting circuit gradually turns on the first light source and the second light source with different gradual changing time periods in response to the lighting instruction.
