Dynamic control of vehicle lamps during maneuvers
A vehicle lamp control system includes an electronic control unit having a processor and a non-transitory computer readable memory including a machine-readable instruction set. The electronic control unit is communicatively coupled to a camera configured to output image data of a vehicle environment, a vehicle lamp and a steering wheel sensor. The machine-readable instruction set causes the processor to receive the image data of the vehicle environment from the camera, determine whether an external light source is present in the vehicle environment based on the image data of the vehicle environment, determine a steering wheel angle based on an output signal of the steering wheel sensor, and generate a control signal for activating the vehicle lamp when the steering wheel angle exceeds an activation steering threshold and no external light source is detected in the vehicle environment.
UNIVERSAL SHADE SYSTEM FOR JAR-STYLE LIGHTING FIXTURE
A shade system for a jar-style lighting fixture includes a circular shaped resilient adaptor having a first end and a second end that are secured by a fastener. An elongated curved cover is removably secured onto the adaptor via a connector and a complementary connector, and surrounds the lighting fixture horizontally along a 180-degree axis. The adaptor includes a shape and size that is complementary to the shape and size of the jar of a jar-style lighting fixture, and a rubber gasket is provided along the inside surface of the adaptor to provide grip and cushioning against the glass jar.

OPTICAL COMPONENT FOR GENERATING LIGHT EFFECT
An optical component (10) is disclosed comprising a plurality of layers (11), each layer comprising a core portion (13) and a shell portion (15) enveloping the core portion, wherein the core portion is made of a first material and the shell portion is made of a second material, the first material and the second material having a different transmissivity. Also disclosed are a luminaire comprising such an optical component and a method of manufacturing such an optical component.
Solid state light source device, automotive lighting using same, image display device, and drive method for solid state light source device
A solid state light source device includes N (an integer of two or more) sets of solid state light source assemblies having a plurality of solid state light source cells arranged in a matrix pattern a multiple lens block including N incidence faces facing the N sets of solid state light source assemblies and causing light emitted from the solid state light source cells to be incident through multiple lens cells of a matrix pattern and one emission face composing the light incident from the N incidence faces and a dichroic filter that is obliquely arranged on the incidence faces inside the multiple lens block and selectively reflects or transmits incident light based on the incident light wavelength. Light distribution characteristics and color temperature of light exiting the emission face of the multiple lens block are controlled by a ratio of power supplied to the solid state light source cells.
LED light bulb assembly and method for manufacturing same
An LED light bulb assembly having a base provided with a connection portion for connecting the assembly to an electric light bulb socket, and with a holding portion, the connection portion and the holding portion facing in opposite directions running essentially in parallel to a central axis of the assembly. The assembly has a substrate carrying at least one LED and having a mounting section which is affixed to the holding portion in a fully assembled state of the assembly. A method for assembling an LED light bulb assembly as described above is also disclosed. The LED light bulb assembly is easy to assemble, yet rugged, and allows for fully automating the production or at least minimizing manufacturing efforts, and thus reducing the costs of LED light bulbs.
Suspended lightguide luminaire with linear sound baffles
A luminaire includes a light module, the light module including a first acoustic panel, a second acoustic panel, and a lightguide disposed between the first acoustic panel and the second acoustic panel. The lightguide can extend from the first acoustic panel and the second acoustic panel. A frame is disposed between the first acoustic panel and the second acoustic panel and secures an edge of the lightguide within the light module. A light emitting diode is located within the frame and oriented to emit light into the edge of the lightguide.
Systems and methods for controlling the spectral content of LED lighting devices
Luminaries, fixtures, systems and methods of providing both spectrally and spatially targeted illumination are disclosed. Intelligent lighting systems with programmable interfaces for customizing spectral and spatial light output to an individual user are also disclosed. Lighting fixtures including table and floor lamps with adjustable spectral output designed to coordinate with the time of day and human circadian rhythms are described. Adjustable light distribution units that provide for both indirect lighting and task lighting that may be independently varied with respect to color so as to illuminate and facilitate circadian rhythm regulation are also disclosed.
Controlled environment light fixture
Controlled environment light fixture configurations include an LED light source. The light fixtures can be installed and removed from below the ceiling. The light fixture can be installed and removed without opening the lens frame of the light fixture. The light fixture includes a sealed housing and seals to the ceiling when installed. The light fixtures are provided in exterior dimension sizes that allow the fixtures to be installed in a variety of controlled environment ceilings in recessed configurations. The lower surface exposed to the controlled environment is free of welds and grinds in order to provide a corrosion resistant surface.
Wiring boards for array-based electronic devices
In accordance with certain embodiments, lighting systems include one or more lightsheets each including a plurality of strings of light-emitting elements, control elements, and power conductors for supplying power to the light-emitting elements and control elements.
