FLOATING WICK
A floating wick that can be used like a candle. The floating wick includes a cup-shaped floating element with a bottom oil-interfacing portion having a through-hole with a capillary tube extending upward from the through-hole. The floating wick can be placed on a pool of flammable oil and the upper end of the capillary tube can be lit like a candle wick.
MECHANICAL SUTURE FASTENER
A mechanical suture fastener includes a crimpable sleeve defining a channel therein. The crimpable sleeve also has a sleeve length, a channel diameter, and a sleeve length to channel diameter ratio of at least 4.0. The mechanical suture fastener also includes a flange joined to the crimpable sleeve on a distal end of the sleeve. The flange further includes a distal opening which is in communication with a proximal opening defined by the crimpable sleeve. The mechanical suture fastener also includes an inner flange radius of at least 0.007 inches.
Apparatus for Candle Nest Holder
A hanukiah that includes a base, eight oil holders and a ninth one that serve as a shamash. Each of the oil holders is shaped as a hollow cup that has a top opening and a narrower hollow leg that includes two opposite horizontal holes. The oil holders are designed to receive oil for lighting a wick. The base includes nine vertical holes which are designed to receive the narrow hollow legs in a way that enables them to rotate inside. The vertical holes are connected together by a horizontal pipe. The user may pour oil into the shamash oil holder and by that to fill the other oil holders. The user may turn one of said oil holders to determine how many of them will be filled by oil.
Smart candle platform and system
A Smart Candle Platform may be configured to produce candle light using a natural wax candle as its fuel source or any other fuel source capable of producing light, including liquid fuels if so configured. The outer shell, inner cover, top cover and base provides a beautiful exterior shell which does not melt but emulates the look of a traditional pillar candle. The outer shell may be changeable/replaceable allowing for style and or seasonal changes. A Smart Candle Platform having multiple interactive systems and sensors for production of natural light via a safe, controllable device which may communicate with other similar configured devices or smart devices having application software embedded therein i.e. a smart phone having an app. is disclosed. The Smart Candle Platform may be configured to allow for auto-extinguishment. The Smart Candle Platform may be configured to allow for the addition of smells or scents.
Oil lamp for deck railing
A oil lamp for deck railing including a container assembly, a torch assembly, and a base assembly. The container assembly includes a cylindrical container made of glass. The torch assembly includes a height-adjustable wick having a bottom end within the cylindrical container and a top end protruding therefrom. The base assembly includes a base having fasteners. The fasteners are operated to attach the base to the deck railing. The container is attached to a top end of the base. The base includes a receiving member in the form of a central circular opening suitable to receive the container.
FLAME LAMP DEVICE
Devices, systems, and methods of allowing external air to access a chamber of a flame lamp device, including positioning upstanding transparent panels in slots of a top member of a base, the transparent panels in part forming a chamber, the base having at least one side vent, the panels positioned to form elongated gaps between adjacent transparent panels, orienting the panels in the slots in a spaced relationship with the base which allows external air to enter the at least one vent into the base and upward through at least one opening in the top member and into the chamber to fuel a flame.
Flame lamp device having transparent panels forming elongated gaps
Devices, systems, and methods of allowing external air to access a chamber of a flame lamp device, including positioning upstanding transparent panels in slots of a top member of a base, the transparent panels in part forming a chamber, the base having at least one side vent, the panels positioned to form elongated gaps between adjacent transparent panels, orienting the panels in the slots in a spaced relationship with the base which allows external air to enter the at least one vent into the base and upward through at least one opening in the top member and into the chamber to fuel a flame.
TORCH WITH SPRING LOADED SNUFFER
A device has a canister for attaching to a fuel container with a wick holder passing through the canister for holding a wick in a position to draw fuel from the reservoir for combustion proximate the top cap. A snuffer in the canister has a sleeve extendible from a first retracted position to a second extended position, the second extended position extending the sleeve partially beyond the wick holder. When the canister is upright the snuffer remains in the first lowered position and when the canister is tilted beyond a predetermined angle the spring moves the sleeve to the second extended position.
METALLIC WICK
A metallic wick includes at least one mesh member having first and second ends disposed opposite to each other, first and second surfaces respectively extended from the first end to the second end thereof and arranged opposite to each other, a plurality of meshes penetrating the first and second surfaces between the first and second ends thereof; and a transport channel extending from the first end to the second end thereof and drawing fuel by capillary action.
Torch with weighted safety snuffer
A device includes a flame bowl with a snuffer sleeve situated therein. The snuffer sleeve has a lowered position allowing a wick to burn freely and a raised position wherein the sleeve impedes oxygen flow to the wick, the snuffer sleeve being biased toward the raised position. A shelf extends from the snuffer sleeve to receive a movable weight that rests on the shelf when the flame bowl is upright and the snuffer sleeve is moved to the lowered position. The movable weight retains the snuffer sleeve in the lowered position while the flame bowl remains upright but moves to allow the snuffer sleeve to extend to the raised position when the flame bowl departs from the upright position more than a predetermined amount.
