FLEXIBLE PRINTED WIRING STRUCTURE FOR LED LIGHT ENGINE
A lighting engine, system, and method of fabrication are described. The system includes a chassis with a ridge extending from a bottom that defines inner and outer cavities. A flexible printed circuit (FPC) is disposed in contact with a wall of the inner and outer cavities and on the ridge top and is connected to wiring retained within bosses in the outer cavity. LEDs are mounted on the FPC to emit light toward a center of the cavity. A light guide disposed has an edge that opposes the LEDs and receives light emitted by the LEDs. The FPC has a polyimide insulator coupled with a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA), a copper layer on the polyimide insulator, and a high-reflectivity white coverlay on the copper layer. Other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.
LIGHTING DEVICE
A lighting device includes a light guide that propagates incoming light, and a lighting panel including a lighting region. A front side of the lighting panel excluding the lighting region is configured to prevent transmission of light, the light guide is covered by the lighting panel, the lighting device is configured such that the light emitted from the light guide passes through the lighting region of the lighting panel for illumination, and surfaces of the lighting panel surrounding the light guide are white in color.

An embodiment provides a lighting device comprising: a plurality of light sources which are disposed on the circumference of a concentric circle; a light guide portion which surrounds the light sources and is disposed adjacent to the light sources; and a cover member which surrounds the upper surfaces of the light sources and the upper and side surfaces of the light guide portion, wherein the light guide portion has a first surface in the light source direction and a second surface in a direction opposite to the light source which have an inclination with respect to the optical axis of the light emitted from the light sources, and wherein the cover member has a light transmitting pattern in a light diffusion region facing the upper surface of the light guide portion.

An indicator light assembly includes a lightguide with a plurality of light directing optical devices each having a light receiving end, a sidewall, and a light emitting end coupled to each other to form a ring-shaped light exit surface; and a plurality of light sources positioned at the light receiving ends, such that light from the light sources enters the light receiving ends and is directed towards the light exit surface by the sidewalls.
Recessed flat panel slot luminaire
A luminaire includes a light transmission unit and a light source that are disposed in a housing assembly of the luminaire such that light emitted from the light source enters a lightguide panel of the light transmission unit through an edge of the lightguide panel and exits the lightguide panel through a surface of the lightguide panel that is substantially perpendicular to the edge. A length of the luminaire along its long side is greater than a width of the luminaire along its short side, while a height of the luminaire with or without any appropriate electronic component that is mounted thereto is less than the width of the luminaire as well as a width of an aperture of a recessed installation structure, such as a T-grid frame or a drywall frame, through which the luminaire is to be installed. The luminaire includes grid clips for recessed installation.
Lighting device for vehicle
The lighting device for a vehicle includes a masking cover disposed inside a garnish, and a light source disposed inside the masking cover and disposed to face an inner surface of the garnish, wherein the masking cover includes a plurality of variable pattern portions provided to have different shapes and selectively disposed in a position where at least one of the plurality of variable pattern portions faces the garnish when the masking cover is rotated.
LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE
A light-emitting device includes a board, a light-emitting element mounted on a surface of the board, a support member on which the board is placed, and a cover having a plate shaped main cover body covering the light-emitting element and a tubular portion which receives a light guide body that guides light emitted from the light-emitting element. The main cover body includes a base, a protrusion protruding from the base toward the board, and a ridge disposed on a protruded end of the protrusion. A step is formed by the protrusion and the ridge, and the protrusion and the ridge extend in a same direction along the base.

A motor vehicle lighting device (1) comprising at least one light source (2), an optical device (3) which is associated with the at least one light source (2) and into which light of the at least one light source (2) is irradiated, and an optical imaging system (6) associated with the optical device (3), this optical imaging system imaging light exiting from the optical device (3) in front of the motor vehicle lighting device (1), the optical device (3) being set up to concentrate the light of the at least one light source and to direct it in the form of at least two spatially separated light beams to the optical imaging system (6), and in that the optical imaging system (6) is set up to project the light beams in front of the motor vehicle lighting device (1) in the form of two light distributions, namely in the form of a main light distribution and a sign light partial light distribution, the optical device (3) having at least one shield (5) downstream of it that is arranged perpendicular to an optical axis (4) of the optical imaging system (6), the shield (5) having at least one first opening (9) and at least one second opening (10), the at least one first opening (9) being set up to form a first light beam forming the main light distribution, and the at least one second opening (10) being set up to form a second light beam forming the sign light partial light distribution.
Row mountable modular flat panel luminaire
A modular luminaire includes a pair of side rail assemblies that support a light transmission assembly therebetween. Each side rail assembly includes a light assembly cavity and an alignment slot that houses an alignment rod therein. A coupling bracket that includes a latch device is coupled to the pair of side rail assemblies. A light source is disposed in the light assembly cavity of at least one of the pair of side rail assemblies such that an edge of a lightguide panel of the light transmission assembly is disposed adjacent the light source. The lightguide panel receives light from the light source through the edge and emits the light through a surface that is substantially perpendicular to the edge. The alignment rod of at least one of the pair of side rail assemblies and the latch device operate in concert to row mount the luminaire with another luminaire.
