Vehicle lamp light blocking
A vehicle lamp includes one or more LEDs mounted to a printed circuit board for producing light. One or more inner lenses are coupled to LEDs for receiving light such that light enters along an edge or surface of each inner lens and propagates through each inner lens before exiting. A projection lens is oriented adjacent the inner lenses such that the projection lens receives light from the inner lenses and projects the light from the vehicle lamp. A light blocking material is applied to at least a portion of the projection lens for altering an appearance of light emitted from the projection lens. The resulting projections provide custom lit appearances having varying patterns, intensity, texture, and/or color. The vehicle lamp may be used for satisfying vehicle lamp legal functions, welcome functions, autonomous driving functions, and/or logo functions.
Vehicle with portable signature light assembly
This disclosure relates to a motor vehicle with a portable signature light assembly, and a corresponding method. In an example, a signature light assembly configured to promote brand recognition of the motor vehicle is operable in a first mode in which the signature light assembly is connected to the motor vehicle and a second mode in which the signature light assembly is removed from the motor vehicle.
Light grille surround and emblem illumination
An apparatus, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a fascia and an emblem mounted or molded to the fascia, where the emblem includes a plurality of quantum dots. The apparatus also includes an energy source to excite the quantum dots. A method according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, providing an emblem with a plurality of quantum dots, mounting or molding the emblem to a fascia, and selectively exciting the quantum dots to illuminate the emblem.
Lamp assembly
A lamp assembly for a vehicle configured to display a logo or other indicia in the form of a virtual image indicium. The lamp assembly includes a dark chamber having a mirror image indicium with an indicium light source associated with the dark chamber, and a light chamber having an associated primary light source. A transparent divider is configured to reflect the mirror image indicium when the indicium light source is illuminated to create the virtual image indicium that is perceivable by an observer.
LED WHEEL LIGHT
A replacement wheel cap includes a power source and LED lights illuminating a face and rim of the wheel. The power source may be batteries or a generator. The wheel cap includes simple engagement features to engage with the wheel in the same manner as the original non-illuminated cap.
Adjustable aiming aircraft light assembly
A light assembly for use on an aircraft is disclosed herein. The light assembly comprises a reflector assembly, a printed wiring assembly, and a bezel assembly. The bezel assembly may comprise a first worm screw. The first worm screw may be configured to translate at least one of the reflector assembly and the printed wiring assembly in a first direction. The bezel assembly may comprise a second worm screw. The second worm screw may be configured to translate at least one of the reflector assembly and the printed wiring assembly in a second direction.

A method of making a fascia for an automobile includes providing an article, the article being one of translucent or transparent and applying a deposited pattern onto at least a first portion of a first side of the article. The method further includes forming the article into a shape, the shape being configured to be consonant with a vehicle exterior configuration. A fascia system includes a transparent member mounted on a vehicle, the member having printed matter on one side, and the member being included into a vehicle exterior design. Additionally, the member is oriented in front of an illumination device and is illuminated by the device.
VEHICLE LIGHT FIXTURE
A vehicle lamp is provided on a vehicle capable of traveling around a corner by inclining a vehicle body in a turning direction. The vehicle lamp includes a headlamp mounted on a front portion of the vehicle, and a combination lamp disposed on a vehicle body cover in a region adjacent to the headlamp so as to be visible from the front of the vehicle. The combination lamp includes a plurality of light emitting segments. Depending on arrangement locations, the light emitting segments differ in at least one of the shape of, the size of, the color of, and a distance between the light emitting segments.

The disclosure relates to a lighting device, in particular for integration into a vehicle surface, having a cover with optically opaque surface areas, a light-source carrier, arranged behind the cover and having a plurality of light sources, and signal structures which are arranged between the surface areas and can be illuminated for light emission, wherein different signal patterns can be adjusted by selective control of certain of the light sources for trans-illumination or illumination of one or more associated signal structures. The disclosure further relates to a vehicle, having such a lighting device, and to a method for carrying out various signal functions with such a lighting device.
Exterior illumination and icon projection module for vehicle
An illumination module for a vehicle includes first, second and third LEDs, and first, second and third masks aligned in with respective ones of the first, second and third LEDs. Light emitted by the first LED that passes through the first mask is a first color and light emitted by the second LED that passes through the second mask is a second color and light emitted by the third LED that passes through the third mask is a third color. When the LEDs are electrically powered to emit light, light emitted by the LEDs passes through the respective masks to project first, second and third projected images at a ground area adjacent the vehicle, each projected image having the respective color. The projected images overlap at the ground area and, combined, establish a multi-color logo or indicia at the ground area adjacent the vehicle.
