An upper light source attaches to the upper portion and a light guiding element attaches to the upper portion to receive the upper light from the upper light source and direct outgoing light in a substantially uniform direction. A display attaches to the upper portion to receive the outgoing light for illumination of the display. A lower member couples with the lower portion. A lower light source attaches to the lower member. A collimator attaches to the lower member to receive incoming light from the lower light source and change directions of the incoming light to a collimated beam. A lens element attaches to the lower portion to direct the collimated beam at a target.

EXTERIOR ILLUMINATION AND ICON PROJECTION MODULE FOR VEHICLE
20190270403 · 2019-09-05 ·

An illumination module for a vehicle includes first, second and third LEDs, and first, second and third masks aligned in with respective ones of the first, second and third LEDs. Light emitted by the first LED that passes through the first mask is a first color and light emitted by the second LED that passes through the second mask is a second color and light emitted by the third LED that passes through the third mask is a third color. When the LEDs are electrically powered to emit light, light emitted by the LEDs passes through the respective masks to project first, second and third projected images at a ground area adjacent the vehicle, each projected image having the respective color. The projected images overlap at the ground area and, combined, establish a multi-color logo or indicia at the ground area adjacent the vehicle.

Method for producing a roof rail, extruded profile therefor and roof railing for a vehicle

The invention relates to a method for producing a roof rack, to an extruded profile for use in a method of this nature and to a novel roof rack for a vehicle. The novel roof rack for vehicles consists of an extruded profile (1) of aluminum, wherein the rail (13) is formed by a tubular profile part of the extruded profile (1), and the end feet (11, 12) are formed from a bend section of the tubular profile part. The roof rack has different cross-sections in the longitudinal direction, which are created by machining of at least one additional profile web on the extruded profile (1). Freely selectable lateral contours (20, 20) for a roof rack can be achieved in this way.

VEHICLE LAMP ASSEMBLY

A lamp assembly is provided herein. The lamp assembly includes a panel operably coupled with one or more projectors. A light source is disposed within each of the one or more projectors. An optical member is disposed between each of the light sources and the panel. An image interference is disposed between the optical member and an exterior surface of the panel.

The present invention relates to a bicycle with light system. The bicycle includes a tube assembly including a frame with mutually fixed tube elements with a tube wall and movable tube elements, such as a steering pin and a handlebar, a light generation subsystem including at least one independently controllable light source for generation of light, a light control for controlling the light generation subsystem for providing at least one light effect, and a light guiding subsystem for guiding light over a part of the path between the at least one light source and the surroundings of the bicycle. The at least one light source is arranged in at least one of the at least one tube element. The bicycle includes the at least one opening in at least one tube element for passing the light through the tube wall. The light guiding subsystem provides a guiding from the inside of the respective at least one tube element to the outside of the at least one tube element of the frame.

RADOME FOR VEHICLES

Radome for vehicles comprising a light source (28); a front unit (9) comprising a transparent layer (11) and a colored decoration layer (5); and a reflective light guide unit (10) comprising a light guide (13) and a reflective subunit (14), the front unit (9) and the reflective light guide unit (10) containing a layer (16) with a refractive index lower than the refractive index of the light guide (13) between them, wherein the reflective subunit (14) comprises a reflective layer (22), the reflective subunit (14) forms an integral single part with the light guide (13), positioned on its face opposite to the front unit (9).

The usage of a reflective unit at the rear of the light guide avoids the need of an air gap at the rear surface of the light guide, and the removal of the rear air gap improves the transmission performance of the radome.
