Cladding part for a motor vehicle
The invention relates to a cladding part of a body shell of a vehicle. The cladding part having a base body, which has a visible side facing towards the outer side and an inner side and which comprises a light window in the form of a light-transmitting transparent or translucent region at least in a sub-region, and an opaque region with a colouring coating at least in a sub-region. The cladding part also having an illumination function, which is arranged behind the visible side of the base body for shining through or illuminating the light window. The cladding part also having a device which has a visible side that has a coloring coating, the device being connected adjustably to the base body in such a way that in a first position the device closes the light window and fully covers the illumination function as seen from the outer side and the visible side is orientated toward the outer side, and in a second position it uncovers the light window and the illumination function as seen from the outer side, in such a way that the illumination function is visible through the light window as seen from the outer side.
Exterior decorative lighting
A system is provided for illuminating a winglet cap of a winglet. The system includes the winglet cap, a light source, a total internal reflection (TIR) lens positioned in proximity to the light source, and a prismatic lens positioned between the light source and the winglet cap. In the system, light produced by the light source reflects off a surface of the TIR lens and passes through the prismatic lens. In the system, the prismatic lens bends the light and directs the bent light toward an inside surface of the winglet cap.
Vehicle grille
A vehicle lighting assembly is provided herein. The lighting assembly includes a panel defining an integrally formed cavity and a locator. A circuit board is disposed along the panel and defines an opening. The locator is disposed within the opening. A light source is coupled to the circuit board. The light source is disposed within the cavity. A substrate is disposed along an opposing side of the circuit board from the panel.
Lamp assembly having rear lamps and an illuminated decorative strip
A light arrangement includes two vehicle rear lamps and an illuminated decorative strip, which are aligned to each other both functionally and creatively. The decorative strip has a light outlet provided with a covering glass, under which an is optical fiber. The covering glass is provided on the outside with a translucent chromium foil and the base body of the decorative strip is chromium-plated on its surface. The optical fiber, the lighting source, the controller of the lighting light source, and the connections for the power supply are integrated into the base body of the decorative strip. Color selection can be adjusted by the controller of the lighting source so that the light and intensity of the color selection supplied to the optical fiber can be aligned with that of the rear lamps.
ILLUMINABLE EMBLEM
The invention relates to an illuminable emblem, in particular for a motor vehicle, having a housing with a front cover which is at least regionally transparent on a front side, a rear-side housing base, which are connected to one another and enclose a cavity, wherein, in the cavity, there is arranged a light conductor which at least regionally forms webs, which directly adjoin transparent regions of the front cover, for the defined emergence of light from the web of the light conductor into the front cover and through the front cover, wherein the light conductor furthermore has at least one light coupling-in region at which there is arranged at least one illuminant for the coupling-in of light into the light conductor, wherein the light conductor, between the webs, forms free spaces which are filled by the front cover and/or by the housing base.
LIGHTING APPARATUS FOR VEHICLES AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A lighting apparatus for vehicles which may provide a unique and beautiful image of an electrified vehicle and aesthetic sensibility, and a method of manufacturing the same, include a light source configured to emit light, a light guide plate configured to diffuse the light emitted by the light source, and a lens cover configured to transmit the light diffused by the light guide plate and to emit the light forwards of the light cover, and irregularities configured to form thickness differences of the lens cover depending on a position on the lens cover or a portion of the lens cover are formed on an internal surface of the lens cover configured so that light having passed through the light guide plate is incident thereupon.
ILLUMINATED EMBLEM ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
An illuminated emblem assembly includes a multi-component outer lens having an exterior surface and an interior surface further comprising an externally visible area to be illuminated, an inner lens having an exterior surface and an interior surface, a printed circuit board assembly, a heat sink, a housing for the inner and outer lenses, and at least one light source, wherein the at least one light source is offset from the externally visible area to be illuminated. A method of manufacturing the illuminated emblem assembly includes injection molding the multi-component outer lens, providing the inner lens, providing the housing for the inner and outer lenses, providing the at least one light source, and assembling the inner and outer lenses and the at least one light source within the housing to obtain the illuminated emblem assembly.
Light emitting emblem
A light emitting emblem includes: a board; a light source arranged at the board; a light guide plate having a second peripheral edge and an inner side portion, the second peripheral edge having a first surface facing the light source and a second surface opposite to the first surface, the first surface including a light entering part into which light from the light source is incident, and the second surface including an inclination part through which the light incident into the light entering part is reflected to the inner side portion from the second peripheral edge; and a shielding plate that shields the light from the light source and prevents light not incident from the light entering part from being incident into the inner side portion, wherein the inclination part is positioned at an outer edge of the light emitting emblem from the shielding plate.
Modular lamp components and methods for making same
A method of providing multiple headlamp configurations sharing a common vehicle-mount interface, including selecting one of at least two reflectors, the at least two reflectors sharing a common forward interface and the common vehicle-mount interface at a rearward interface, with each having a different reflector shape; affixing the selected reflector to a rear portion of a bezel shaped to conform to the common forward interface of the at least two reflectors; and affixing one of at least two lamp bezels to a forward interface of the bezel, wherein the at least two lamp bezels share a common rear portion shaped to conform to the common forward interface of the bezel, and are shaped differently at their respective front portions.
