A lighting device, for a motor vehicle, including a transparent or translucent screen; and a lighting module able to project a light beam onto the screen. The screen includes a first diffusive area and a second non-diffusive area, such that a first part of the light beam, projected onto the first area, is diffused by the screen and that a second part of the beam is transmitted by the screen to an external projection surface.
Method for operating a high-resolution projection headlight, and projection headlight for a motor vehicle
The present invention relates to a method for operating a high-resolution projection headlight for a motor vehicle. The high-resolution projection headlight has an active LED pixel matrix light source which comprises an LED matrix monolithically integrated into a semiconductor chip with a plurality of light diode-based pixels and a driver circuit for separately controlling each individual pixel within the LED matrix. A current digital image of a sequence of images is continuously rasterized by means of a graphical controller from graphical data with at least one graphical object (50) and is provided for image reproduction with the projection headlight. A value for a thermal loading of the LED pixel matrix light source is continuously determined. During the rasterizing of a current digital image, surface areas (52) of the graphical objects (50) to be projected are at least partially masked with a masking (60, 61) and modulated, provided that the value for thermal loading exceeds a limit value. The invention also relates to a corresponding projection headlight system for a motor vehicle.
Lamp For Vehicle And Method For Controlling The Same
A vehicle lamp includes: a light source unit including one or more light sources and configured to generate light; a reflector configured to reflect at least part of the light generated by the light source unit; and a lens configured to transmit therethrough a first portion of the light that is generated by the light source unit and that is reflected by the reflector to the lens. The reflector includes: a reflective part configured to reflect, to the lens, the first portion of the light generated by the light source unit; and a non-reflective part configured not to reflect, to the lens, the light generated by the light source unit. The reflective part and the non-reflective part of the reflector are configured to selectively reflect the light generated by the light source unit towards the lens to output a light distribution pattern from the vehicle lamp.
LIGHTING DEVICE WITH IMAGE PROJECTION AND DISPLAY
A lighting device, for a motor vehicle, including a transparent or translucent screen; and a lighting module able to project a light beam onto the screen. The screen includes a first diffusive area and a second non-diffusive area, such that a first part of the light beam, projected onto the first area, is diffused by the screen and that a second part of the beam is transmitted by the screen to an external projection surface.
Lighting arrangement for an interior of a vehicle
In a lighting arrangement (2) for an interior (4) of a vehicle, having a beam area (6) for emitting light (8) into an environment (10) of the lighting arrangement (2), having at least one first luminaire (12a, b) having a first luminous area (14a, b) for emitting the light (8), the first luminous area (14a, b) being part of the beam area (6), having at least one projector (16) with a beam opening (18) for emitting the light (8), the beam opening (18) being part of the beam area (6), at least one of the first luminaires (12a, b) has at least one passage region (34) for at least one part of one of the beam openings (18) of one of the projectors (16) on its first luminous area (14a, b), and/or, in at least one of the projectors (16), a surface region (20) of the projector (16) which is adjacent to the beam opening (18) is in the form of a second luminaire (21) having a second luminous area (22) for emitting light (8), the second luminous area (22) being part of the beam area (6).
Attachable vehicle accent lamp
An accent lamp (10) having a solid state light source (4), such as LEDs, is attachable to a rear surface of an automotive headlamp (40) opposite the light-generating capsule (44). Accent lamp (10) has first retaining member (20), such as a clamp, formed above printed circuit board (8) on which LED (4) is mounted. Headlamp base (60) defines light passageway (45), formed as a light guide (42), extending from outermost peripheral surface (63) to an upper surface (61) on which lamp capsule (44) is retained. Accent lamp (10) is readily detachably mounted to headlamp (40), preferably by resilient first and second retaining members (20, 24), and, when mounted, can be biased to promote optical coupling of light source (4) to light guide (42).
