Bracket for mounting a cover in a lighting unit
A bracket for mounting a cover to a lighting unit. The bracket includes a mounting portion and a supporting portion that are pivotally connected together. The mounting portion includes a support surface to contact against and support the cover. The supporting portion is movable relative to the mounting portion between an open position away from the mounting portion and a closed position in proximity to the mounting portion to support the cover over the lighting unit. A lock includes a first arm on the mounting portion and a second arm on the supporting portion. The first and second arms are positioned to engage together to secure the supporting portion in the closed position.
Floor lighting assembly
A floor lighting assembly includes a luminous composite sheet and a light transmissive carpet. The luminous composite sheet has a top side, a bottom side, and an edge extending from the top side to the bottom side. The light sources are arranged in a row and are configured to emit light into the light guide film through the edge. The light transmissive carpet is disposed above the top side of the light guide film. The light transmissive carpet includes a backing structure and a pile mounted to and extending from the backing structure. The light guide film is configured to spread and redirect the light that is received therein through the edge for emitting the light through the top side of the light guide film such that some of the light is transmitted through the light transmissive carpet.
AN INTERIOR PANEL FOR AN INTERIOR OF AN AIRCRAFT AND A METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME
Interior panels for interiors of aircraft, aircraft, and methods from making interior panels for interiors of aircraft are provided. In one example, the interior panel includes an outer covering that has a first surface. The first surface is configured to be exposed to the interior of the aircraft. A second surface is disposed opposite the first surface. The second surface has a first pattern formed therein that is hidden from the first surface. A first light source is operative to generate a first light and is disposed adjacent to the second surface generally aligned with the first pattern. When the first light source generates the first light, a first illuminated pattern corresponding to the first pattern formed in the second surface is visible on the first surface.
Compact optical system for a motor-vehicle passenger compartment
An optical system and an interior lighting device for a motor vehicle including a light source coupled to such an optical system. The optical system includes a first portion of an optical assembly that allows a real image of the light source to the enlarged and projected into proximity to a diffuser of the optical system. The optical assembly also includes a second portion that plays the role of a projecting optic to project out of the optical system a real image of the of the light source formed in proximity to the diffuser. The optical system allows a luminance of the light source of the interior lighting device to be decreased while preserving its pixelization, allowing light sources based on light-emitting diodes and driven with a high-amperage electrical current to be used in motor-vehicle passenger compartments without any risk to the occupants.
Vehicle lamp assembly
Lamp assemblies for illuminating interior or exterior spaces of a vehicle are provided. In one implementation, a lamp assembly includes a housing having a frame, the housing being adapted to at least partially cover a light device installed within the housing. Light radiating from the light device passes through an opening in the frame. The lamp assembly further includes a lens adapted to be removably connected to the frame of the housing. When connected to the housing, the lens is adapted to refract the light radiating from the light device through the opening in the frame. When the lens is connected to the frame of the housing, a shortest path between the light device and the lens is defined by a z-axis. The lens may include one or more slide components to allow the lens to slide into or onto the frame along an x-axis that is perpendicular to the z-axis.
Luminous motor-vehicle device comprising a light source comprising a plurality of emitting elements
A luminous device for a motor vehicle, comprising a light source including a plurality of emitting elements that are configured to form at least one first emission zone and one second emission zone that are addressable selectively from each other. The luminous device also comprises a screen that is at least partially transparent to the light emitted by the light source, comprising first transmission zones and second transmission zones that are respectively arranged facing the first and second emission zones, the first transmission zones being configured to scatter the light beams emitted by the first emission zones.
Multi-mode NVIS-compatible lighting system
The present disclosure provides a night vision imaging system (NVIS) lighting system, comprising a frame comprising a first light source, a second light source adjacent to the first light source, a third light source adjacent to the second light source, and a diffuser mounted to the frame and encasing the first light source, the second light source, and the third light source. The first light source may comprise a first dominant wavelength, the second light source may comprise a second dominant wavelength different from the first dominant wavelength, and the third light source may comprise a third dominant wavelength different from the first dominant wavelength and the second dominant wavelength. Light emitted from the first light source, the second light source, and the third light source may be blended to generate a first blended light source comprising a first target output color.
SYSTEM FOR DIGITALLY CONTROLLED DIRECT DRIVE AC LED LIGHT
An AC lighting system where the intensity and/or color may be controlled by varying an output current level of a linear current regulator between a first current level and a second current level and/or varying ON times of a plurality of LED stages, respectively. When the current reaches the second current level, the output current level of the linear current regulator may be maintained at the second current level while ON times are varied is provided. Also provided is an AC lighting system where each switch may be selectively operated to provide power to a bootstrap conditioning network during the period of time when the applied voltage is insufficient to turn on the one or more LEDs corresponding to the respective switch when an LED ON time is short, such that power is provided to respective level shifted drive.
MAGNETIC LIGHT PANEL SYSTEM
A magnetic light panel system having a light panel with a light source that can be connected to a power source and thus illuminated, and further having a handle. The light panel and the handle may each be provided with magnets such that the light panel and the handle can be magnetically associated with each other from opposite sides of a window or windshield. The panel may be manipulated or adjusted by a user on a vehicle exterior while the light panel remains on the vehicle interior, and the light panel may provide light to the user such that the borders and edges along a window or windshield can be more easily seen. Additionally, the panel may be provided with a guideline having a zigzag or jagged shape along the border to provide the user with a reference point or measurement point.
