09841159 · 2017-12-12 · ·

The present invention concerns a lamp (1) having a number of plates (3, 4, 5). The plates (3, 4, 5) are moveable between a position where the plates (3, 4, 5) form a common outer surface and a position where the plates (3, 4, 5) are separated from each other. By means of the plates the shape and appearance of the lamp (1) may be amended between having the form of for instance a closed sphere and a more or less open form. The plates (3, 4, 5) are placed on upper and lower curved arms (17, 26). The curved arms (17, 26) are connected to an upper ring (10) and a lower ring (9). The curved arms (17, 26) are moved by movement of the lower ring (9) towards and away from the upper ring (10).

Decorative candle sleeve and interlocking connectors for sheets

A decorative sleeve for receiving or placing around a light source such as a traditional or flameless candle. The sleeve includes a flexible sheet of translucent or transparent material having a surface image thereon and having opposing first and second edges and a locking system. The locking system is configured to smoothly connect the first and second edges to form the sheet into a sleeve configuration. The locking system may be disconnected by a user to allow for flat storage of the sheet, and then may be reconnected by the user at a later time when the sleeve is used again.

A light emitting arrangement (100, 200, 300) is provided, comprising: a body (10) of solid material having a surface (11); a light guiding member (101, 110) partially embedded into said body, having a plurality of discrete light outcoupling regions (103) comprising light outcoupling means (230, 730, 830, 930) distributed along a longitudinal direction of the light guiding member, and a plurality of discrete, non-outcoupling regions (102) distributed along a longitudinal direction of the light guiding member, wherein said plurality of light non-outcoupling regions of the light guiding member are embedded by said body and said plurality of light outcoupling regions of the light guiding member are exposed on the surface of said body, wherein said non-outcoupling regions (102) form light incoupling regions comprising light incoupling means (220, 320, 420, 520, 620); and a plurality of solid state light sources (12) embedded within said body (10) of solid material arranged to emit light towards said light incoupling regions. The light emitting arrangement provides a body with an illuminated surface, and the plurality of light outcoupling regions enables efficient lighting, with no or little loss of light.

Light engine and method of simulating a burning wax candle

A lighting device includes a housing having a cavity and a translucent area, a plurality of discrete light emission points (DLEPs) positioned in the cavity for emitting light through the translucent area, a power source, and a controller causing the DLEPs to simulate a burning wax candle. The housing is configured to imitate a wax candle. The controller actuates a first of the DLEPs according to sequential first intensity values, and actuates a second of the DLEPs according to sequential second intensity values. The sequential first intensity values are determined by sequentially combining first change values to an initial first intensity value, and the sequential second intensity values are determined by sequentially combining second change values to an initial second intensity value. Sequential increases/decreases in the first intensity values simulate increases/decreases in optimal flame chemistry, and sequential increases/decreases in absolute value of the first change values simulates increases/decreases in turbulence.

AUTOMOTIVE WINDOW GLAZINGS

A vehicle window glazing is provided that includes a transparent substrate defining a first surface with a decorative layer positioned on the first surface defining an indicium. A light source is positioned on the decorative layer. A conductive lead is electrically coupled to the light source and extends along the first surface of the substrate away from the light source. The at least one conductive lead is substantially transparent and a transparent layer is positioned over the decorative layer and substrate.
