Dental light using LEDs
A dental light comprises at least one light emitting diode light source configured to produce a light beam and at least one collimating lens system situated to receive the light beam. The collimating lens system is configured to collect and collimate the light beam. The collimating lens system can additionally modify the beam through controlled diffusion or shape the beam using an aperture.
Lighting fixture with 2D array of closely-packed LED components
An LED lighting fixture includes a housing, a substrate located within the housing, a plurality of LED groups of various colors mounted on the substrate, each LED color group including multiple LED components, at least one circuit communicating with a power supply and adapted for powering the LED components, and an optical component located at an output end of the housing. The LED components are arranged along first and second directions orthogonal to one another, such that no two LED of the same color reside adjacent one another along both of the first and second directions, and each LED component is spaced-apart from an adjacent LED component a distance no greater than 1.0 mm.
Lighting module, kit and panel
A lighting module (10) is disclosed comprising a light mixing chamber (35) delimited by a back plate (40) opposed by a cover plate (20) and a sidewall arrangement (30) extending between the back plate (40) and the cover plate (20); and a light source (45) mounted on the back plate (40) and arranged to emit light into the light mixing chamber (35), wherein the cover plate (20) is transmissive for light emitted by the light source (45) and transmissive for sound waves, and wherein the back plate (40) comprises a plurality of through holes (41), each through hole (41) having a diameter in a range of 50 to 500 micrometers. Also disclosed are a lighting kit comprising a plurality of such lighting modules (10) and a lighting panel assembled from such a lighting kit.
LED bulb including pulse generator and/or AC/DC converter
A three-way bulb including light emitting diodes is used to achieve a variety of light output colors and/or intensities. In some embodiments, the inputs to a three-way bulb are configured to perform other functions, such as power a motor. In some embodiments, a bulb including light emitting diodes includes a replicable cover and/or a replicable LED. This cover may be configured to project images or support a shade made of a heat sensitive material.
LED lighting methods and apparatus
LED related lighting methods and apparatus are described. Various features relate to water tight light fixtures. Some of the fixtures are spotlights while other fixture are intended for in ground use. The light fixtures in at least some embodiments include power control features. In spotlight embodiments beam angle and power or light output can be controlled without opening the light assembly or compromising the water tight seals which also protect against dirt. In ground embodiments support tilt angle setting which allow a user to set the light fixture to one or more tilt angles. Beam angle can also be changed in some embodiments as well as power control. Beam angle, power control and tilt angle adjustments are supported in some embodiments but need not be supported in all embodiments with some embodiments using one or more of the described features but not all features.
Multi-element flexible strap light
Disclosed herein is a multi-element flexible strap light which includes a plurality of light elements disposed on a flexible chassis. The flexible chassis may include a first flexible layer, a printed circuit board, and a second flexible layer. The flexible chassis may be further contained within a third flexible layer, such as a layer of polycarbonate plastic. Further disclosed is a multi-element flexible strap light system which includes a plurality of light elements disposed on a flexible chassis and a remote battery.
Dummy head for electronic calls
A method captures binaural sound of a voice of a first user with microphones located at left and rights ears of a dummy head. The dummy head transmits the voice of the first user to a portable electronic device with or near the first user. This portable electronic device transmits the binaural sound over one or more networks to another electronic device being used by a second user to communicate with the first user during the electronic call.
LIGHTING FIXTURE WITH WAVEGUIDE
Generally, embodiment(s) disclosed herein may include modular luminaires and customizable luminaire combinations to produce desired overall illumination patterns, modular luminaires interchangeable between one or more lighting systems/luminaires having differing configurations, and/or luminaires with portions thereof formed primarily by optical waveguides, e.g., a wall sconce where primarily only waveguides extend from the wall. Further, contemplated throughout this disclosure is modification of panel-style and/or blade-style waveguide(s) for use with luminaire configurations having different sizes, shapes, and structural elements including as modular luminaires for use in creating further customizable lighting systems/luminaires.
Illumination Devices
An illumination device (e.g., an electric candle, etc.) generally includes a shell, a housing coupled to the shell, a first light source, and a pendulum supporting the first light source generally above the housing, wherein the pendulum is pivotally coupled to the housing and configured to move the first light source relative to the housing. The device also includes a flame-shaped head, where the first light source is disposed within the flame-shaped head, and a second light source arranged inside the shell and configured to illuminate the shell from the inside out. A printed circuit board assembly is arranged inside the shell for controlling operation of the first light source and the second light source.
