The attaching structure is between the top layer and the base layer, between the base layer and the conductive electrodes, or between the top layer and the conductive electrodes.

In another embodiment, multiple LEDs are positioned over each mirror in the mirror array, and the combination of LEDs illuminated over each mirror is used to steer the aggregate light beam from the luminaire.

Additional layers of material over the exterior shell can provide additional variations in quality and texture of the observed light.
