Enclosure for lighting systems
The present disclosure relates to the field of lighting systems. The collective dissipation of heat by various components of lighting systems, inside a conventional single compartment enclosure, raises the temperature of each of the components, resulting in damage and reduction in the life of the components. The present disclosure, therefore, envisages an enclosure for lighting systems which is compartmentalized, and prevents overheating of the components of the lighting systems. The enclosure includes a first compartment and a second compartment. At least one driver is receivable in the first compartment and at least one light emitting component is receivable in the second compartment. The first compartment is insulated from the second compartment. The enclosure is primarily used for lighting fixtures which require high efficiency operation from a compact package, or lighting fixtures which operate in rugged environments at high temperatures.
Scalable modular LED light fixture with interchangeable mounts
A system of scalable modular LED light fixtures is provided herein for accommodating different levels of generated lighting and to accommodate different mountings.
Obstruction illuminator, obstruction illuminator assembly and installation method
A robust and easy to install obstruction illuminator is herein disclosed. The obstruction illuminator features an elongated body with a first end and a second end opposing the first end. The body of the obstruction illuminator has an inner cavity, which extends between the first and second end. An artificial light source is fitted to the first end of the body and an emission lens is fitted to the second end of the body. The artificial light source is configured to emit light into the cavity towards the second end. An optical condenser element is provided into the inner cavity of the body between the artificial light source and the emission lens. The optical condenser element receives light from the artificial light source as well as condenses and directs the condensed light toward the emission lens. The emission lens refracts the light into a pattern suitable for warning about the presence of an obstacle.
Lighting fixture
A light emitting diode (LED) lighting arrangement for a lighting fixture includes: a lighting strip comprising a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged along a length of the lighting strip; a first multi-faceted side wall reflector extending from a first side of the lighting strip at an angle such that the first multi-faceted side wall reflector extends along an entire length of the lighting strip and away from a bottom portion of a light emitting portion of each of the light emitting diodes (LEDs); and a second multi-faceted side wall reflector extending from a second, opposite side of the lighting strip at an angle such that the second multi-faceted side wall reflector extends along an entire length of the lighting strip away from the bottom portion of the light emitting portion of each of the light emitting diodes (LEDs). The first and second multi-faceted side wall reflectors cause light produced by the plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) to be amplified and formed into a uniform beam.
Sealed and sealable scalable lighting systems incorporating flexible light sheets and related methods
In accordance with certain embodiments, illumination elements having different shapes defined by contiguous arrangements of illumination unit cells may be assembled to illuminate an arbitrary two-dimensional area. In various embodiments, the illumination elements include flexible light sheets and one or more sealed regions containing light-emitting elements, the sealed regions defined by seals between a top housing and a bottom housing and/or the light sheet.
Single-emitter lighting device that outputs a minimum amount of power to produce integrated radiance values sufficient for deactivating pathogens
A lighting device configured to deactivate dangerous pathogens (e.g., MRSA bacteria) in an environment. The lighting device includes at least one lighting element with a single light source configured to provide light. At least a first component of the light comprising light having a wavelength of about 405 nm, and at least a second component of the light comprising light having a wavelength of greater than 420 nm. The first component of light has a minimum integrated irradiance of 0.01 mW/cm.sup.2 measured from any unshielded point in the environment that is 1.5 m from any point on any external-most luminous surface of the lighting device.
Luminaire
A luminaire, in particular as a table, camping, work, party or garden luminaire, comprising at least one mounting, one supply voltage terminal, and one fastening element for at least one LED light. The LED luminaire is comprised of at least one LED panel that is movably articulated at the fastening element. The object is to provide an LED panel that can be made available in a small-dimensional flat design and that can prevent an overheating of the individual LEDs.
COMBINATION LED LIGHTING AND FAN APPARATUS
A combination axial fan and LED lighting system configured to fit into the footprint of a standard ceiling tile. The system includes a housing container and an axial fan. The fan has a fan cavity including air diversion mechanism to direct air from the fan cavity toward the lighting and fan components. The invention includes an airflow surface to direct air existing the fan cavity along an LED light fixture.
Lighting system
A lighting system comprising: a first controllable light source (11) configured to provide light in a first direction; a second electrically controllable light source (16) configured to provide light in a second direction; a support structure (14) comprising at least one region of light diffusing particles configured to diffuse light provided by the second electrically controllable light source such that at least a portion of the light provided by the second electrically controllable light source is output in the first direction and is mixed with the light provided by the first controllable light source.
DISPLAY UNIT, DISPLAY APPARATUS CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE DISPLAY UNIT, AND USE OF THE DISPLAY UNIT AND THE DISPLAY APPARATUS
A display unit includes a transparent or translucent layer with a display side and a rear side, with an opaque or semitransparent layer on the display side, containing a plurity of apertures, a plurality of illuminants, which are present at, or at a distance from, the rear side of the transparent or translucent layer, at least partly embedded in the layer, wherein at least one illuminant is substantially behind one of the apertures in each case configured and designed to emit light in the direction of and through the aperture, a transparent or translucent lamination ply adjoining the opaque or semitransparent layer and covering the plurity of apertures, and a transparent or translucent protective layer adjoining this lamination ply. Also disclosed are a display apparatus and a traffic guidance system comprising such a display unit, and use if the display unit as a media energy faade or a daylight display.
