The invention relates to an illumination device comprising a group of first light sources, a plurality of optical lenses, a plurality of beam generating elements, where each of the beam generating elements is configured to collect the light of at least one first light source to generate a light beam of the collected light and to pass the generated light beam to one of the optical lenses, a group of second light sources, and a plurality of shielding elements, where each shielding element is arranged between at least one of the second light sources and one of the plurality of optical lenses in such a way that said at least one of the second light source illuminates only one of the plurality of optical lenses.

SNAP-IN ASSEMBLING OF LED BOARDS IN LUMINAIRES
20170328544 · 2017-11-16 ·

The specification and drawings present a new lighting/housing fixture comprising a plate/housing plate having multiple snapping clips for holding/assembling LED boards/modules in luminaires/LED light fixtures. The assembly can be made without any fasteners (such as rivets, screws, embossed fasteners, etc.), adhesives or any additional materials. This may be achieved by forming a housing plate comprising a plurality of snapping clips, made from one plate using, e.g., a sheet metal. The snapping clips are able to hold the LED boards in place, using snapped claws, as tight as conventional methods (e.g., using fasteners, rivets, etc.). In addition, the described housing fixture can simplify the assembling procedure, and reduce cost, manpower and maintenance compared to the conventional methods.

Display unit, display apparatus containing at least one display unit, and use of the display unit and the display apparatus

A display unit includes a transparent or translucent layer with a display side and a rear side, with an opaque or semitransparent layer on the display side, containing a plurality of apertures, a plurality of illuminants which are present at, or at a distance from, the rear side of the transparent or translucent layer, at least partly embedded in the layer, wherein at least one illuminant is substantially behind one of the apertures in each case configured and designed to emit light in the direction of and through the aperture, a transparent or translucent lamination ply adjoining the opaque or semitransparent layer and covering the plurality of apertures, and a transparent or translucent protective layer adjoining this lamination ply. Also disclosed are a display apparatus and a traffic guidance system comprising such a display unit, and use of the display unit as a media energy façade or a daylight display.

LUMINAIRE ILLUMINATION AND POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

A device and method for housing a terminator circuit and brightly distributing light from one surface and dimly distributing light from another surface with a single light source. Additionally, light may be distributed from a top surface, a bottom surface and through an edge surface. In operation, the light fixture of figure may provide tri-directional lighting by providing light from the LEDs directed from one side of the light fixture, while providing light from a second side of the light fixture in the opposite direction (but offset), and directing a third portion of light from one of the LED arrays through a light pipe to an edge of the fixture. This allows a lighting designer a wide range of aesthetics and lighting affects because light of different densities may be directed where needed.

Street lighting device

In various embodiments, a street lighting device with a first light source for illuminating the street plane from above is provided. The device may include a second light source located at a closer position to the street plane than said first light source; a sensor sensitive to the occurrence of conditions of reduced ambient visibility; and a controller connected to said sensor and capable of activating said second light source in the presence of said conditions of reduced ambient visibility.

LUMINAIRES WITH MULTIPLE ILLUMINATION PANELS

In one embodiment, a design system based on luminaires having multiple illumination panels includes first and second luminaires. Each of the first luminaires includes three illumination panels arranged in a row. Each of the second luminaires includes five illumination panels of the same size and shape, arranged in an L-shape, with a first, a second and a third panel arranged in a first row, and the third, a fourth and a fifth panel arranged in a second row at a ninety degree angle to the first row. In another embodiment, a design system based on luminaires having multiple illumination panels includes first and second luminaires. Each of the first luminaires includes three illumination panels arranged in a row. Each of the second luminaires includes nine illumination panels of the same size and shape, arranged in a grid of three rows and three columns.

Lighting Fixture

Lighting fixtures are provided. In one example implementation, the lighting fixture can include a housing portion and one or more modular lighting components mechanically coupled to the housing portion. Each modular lighting component can include a lighting assembly (e.g., an LED lighting assembly) and a heat sink portion. The one or more modular lighting components can be selectively removable from the housing portion to configure the lighting fixture for a plurality of different lighting configurations.

Multi-Function Lighting Fixture

Multi-function lighting fixtures are provided. In one example implementation, a lighting fixture may include an optical housing extending lengthwise between a first end and a second end. The optical housing may include a plurality of light sources disposed within an interior of the optical housing and a plurality of optical elements disposed along an exterior of the optical housing. The optical housing may also a plurality of compartments defined within the interior of the optical housing. Each of the optical compartments may be associated with a separate light source of the plurality of light sources and a separate optical element of the plurality of optical elements.

A light fixture delivers light to an illuminated space. The light fixture includes a housing that defines a skylight aperture therethrough, and movable louver blades coupled within and spanning the skylight aperture. Open, the louver blades do not substantially block light through the skylight aperture; closed, the louver blades block substantially all light through the skylight aperture. In intermediate positions, the louver blades block a portion of light through the skylight aperture. The light fixture also includes a dimmable artificial light source, integrated with the housing and configured to project light toward the illuminated space; a light sensor; and a control unit that is integrated with the housing and communicatively coupled with the light sensor. The control unit receives a signal from the sensor, and controls position of the louver blades and brightness of the artificial light source, in response to at least the signal from the light sensor.
