Each of the at least one locking members is configured to maintain a bundle of the material onto the rack in a locked state, and to release the bundle of the material from the rack in an unlocked state; and the controller is coupled to, and configured to control, each of the at least one locking member to be in the unlocked state based on a feeding command. The material can be firewood, and the target place can be a fire, and the device as such can further include a temperature sensor, disposed on the rack and coupled to the controller.

SOLID FUEL BURNER AND COMBUSTION DEVICE

This solid fuel burner is provided with: a venturi tube in which a channel for mixed fluid in a fuel nozzle narrows toward the center in the channel cross section; a fuel concentrator that imparts, to the mixed fluid, a velocity component away from the center of the fuel nozzle; and a channel separation member that separates the channel of the fuel nozzle into an internal side and an external side; wherein the channel separation member is shaped in such a way that the cross sectional area of an external channel is larger at the downstream end than at the upstream end, and the upstream end of the fuel concentrator is located between the upstream end and the downstream end of an expanded portion of the venturi tube. This solid fuel burner prevents solid fuel particles, which is ground biomass fuel, from adhering and depositing inside the nozzle.

Thermochemical regeneration with soot formation

Operation of a thermochemical regenerator to generate soot or to increase the amount of soot generated improves the performance of a furnace with which the thermochemical regenerator is operated.

Burner with adjustable end cap and method of operating same

A boiler system comprises a housing with a generally cylindrical shape extends between first and second walls to provide a generally cylindrical space. A fire tube is positioned near a bottom of the generally cylindrical housing and extends longitudinally from a first wall of the cylindrical housing to a fire tube end wall. The boiler system also includes a burner with a generally cylindrical housing which defines a generally cylindrical chamber and an end plate. The burner extends into the fire tube, and the fire tube provides a combustion chamber where combustion of an air-fuel mixture is accomplished using the burner. The end plate of the burner is adjustable so as to adjust the flame that extends from within the burner housing into the fire tube.

A stove includes a combustion chamber, a fuel grate positioned within the combustion chamber, and a pellet adapter removably positionable on the fuel grate. The fuel grate includes a number of first ventilation holes. The pellet adapter includes a number of second ventilation holes sized and shaped to prevent passage of a fuel pellet. The pellet adapter also includes a raised outer rim and a central protuberance with a height greater than the height of the raised outer rim.

Highly efficient wood stove/heater

A highly efficient indoor heating system and device is described. The device is equipped with an internal chimney, as well as vents that are configured to maximize the draft applied to the flame housed within a stove combustion area. The heater is configured to reach temperatures exceeding 300 degrees Fahrenheit in approximately ten minutes. A gravity fed fuel tube, potentially in communication with a wood pellet hopper, is configured to deliver fuel to the stove of the heater. Heat is distributed throughout the structure of the device, and a convection chamber within the device ensures that heat generated is not quickly lost via exhaust.

Staged fuel burner with jet induced exhaust gas recycle

The pre-mix burner assembly includes a jet pump comprising a combustion air tube, a flue gas inlet, and a suction chamber. The combustion air tube has an inlet and a tapered nozzle, and it is connected to a combustion gas fan. The flue gas inlet is connected to the suction chamber and the furnace chamber or other flue gas source. The suction chamber surrounds the combustion air tube, and it has a jet pump nozzle with a discharge. The combustion air exiting the combustion air nozzle creates a negative pressure in the suction chamber and draws flue gas into the suction chamber. There is a burner housing positioned downstream of the jet pump discharge. There is a fuel gas inlet connected to a mixing tube in the burner housing, and a burner block connected to the outlet of the burner housing.

AN INFRASOUND GENERATOR FOR ENHANCING THE COMBUSTION OF SOLID FUELS

The invention refers to an infrasound generator for enhancing the combustion of solid fuels burning in a combustion chamber. The infrasound is generated by one or more set(-s) of each two vibrating plates, vibrating in the same direction with the same displacement amplitude but in antiphase. The infrasound generator does not cause vibrations and is not sensitive to ash and heat from the combustion.

Spent grain fuel product and process

A process of making a fuel product from spent grain from a beer brewing process. In the brewing process, the grain is pulverized to a particle size whose mean particle size is approximately 0.25 mm to 0.6 mm with less than 1% greater than 2 mm. After the brewing sugars are extracted from the grain, the spent grain is pressed against a filter to reduce moisture below sixty-five percent (65%), and then the grain is dried to further reduce its moisture to less than ten percent (10%). The dried spent grain, after the aforementioned processing, is fed into a combustion chamber for a steam boiler that is used for beer brewing, and the spent grain is separated during combustion by agitation such as spraying of the grain in the combustion chamber.
