FLAME PRODUCING ASSEMBLIES
A flame producing assembly is disclosed which comprises a fuel container and a fuel nozzle arrangement. The fuel nozzle arrangement is configured to produce a flame and comprises a fuel supply channel and a fuel nozzle having a fuel nozzle opening. The fuel supply channel extends from the fuel container to the fuel nozzle opening of the fuel nozzle. The fuel nozzle opening is oriented along an axis A in a flame direction f. The wind resistant flame producing assembly further comprises a nozzle arrangement, a compressed fluid supply for storing compressed fluid, and a compressed fluid valve. The nozzle arrangement has a nozzle outlet which at least partially encircles the fuel nozzle arrangement and is suppliable with compressed fluid from the compressed fluid supply via activation of the compressed fluid valve.
Burner system and method of operation
A burner system, preferably including input plumbing, a combustion region, and an exhaust section. In some embodiments, the burner system can include, be attached to, be configured to couple with, and/or be otherwise associated with a thermionic energy converter (TEC). A method of burner system operation, preferably including operating the burner system in a combustion mode and optionally including operating a TEC.
System and components for evaluating the performance of fire safety protection devices
A fire safety protection evaluation system includes at least one horizontal collection device and at least one vertical collection device. The at least one horizontal collection device includes a liquid collection pan with a substantially horizontal opening, a first storage container in communication with the liquid collection pan, and a first measuring device to measure an amount of liquid in the first storage container and/or a rate of liquid entering the first storage container. The at least one vertical collection device includes a substantially vertical liquid collection surface extending between a top edge and a bottom edge, a trough located along the bottom edge to collect liquid from the substantially vertical collection surface, and a second measuring device to measure an amount of liquid and/or a rate of liquid collected by the trough.
RADIANT INFRARED GAS BURNER
Methods and devices for gas mixture combustion on a surface of a permeable matrix are provided which produce or result in surface stabilized combustion (SSC) with increasing amounts of radiation energy emitted by the matrix surface and decreasing concentrations of pollutant components in the combustion products. The gas mixture is fed to a burner that includes a permeable matrix material having a first thermal conductivity and configured to preheat the combustible gas mixture as it travels through the matrix. The burner includes a plurality of thermal elements having a thermal conductivity higher than and disposed in thermal transfer communication with the matrix base material. The permeable matrix base material forms a combustion surface with at least a portion of the thermal elements exposed above the combustion surface. The gas mixture is combusted at or near exit pores and channels formed at the permeable matrix material combustion surface.

Submerged combustion burners and melters, and methods of use
Submerged combustion burners having a burner body, a burner tip connected thereto, and a protective cap and/or cladding layer. Submerged combustion melters including the burners and methods of using them to produce molten glass. The burner body has an external conduit and first and second internal conduits substantially concentric therewith, forming first and second annuli for passing a cooling fluid therethrough. The burner tip body is connected to the burner body at ends of the external and second internal conduits. The burner tip and protective cap and/or cladding layer include a generally central flow passage for a combustible mixture, the flow passage defined by an inner wall of the burner tip and protective cap.
Modified field incinerating arrangement
A mobile vehicle having a burner assembly for movement over a ground surface and directing flame onto the ground surface to incinerate the materials on the ground surface and growing therefrom and including a water spray for reducing air pollution associated with the incineration.
EFFLUENT GAS INLET ASSEMBLY FOR RADIANT BURNER
An inlet assembly for a burner and a method are disclosed. The inlet assembly comprises: an inlet nozzle defining an inlet aperture coupleable with an inlet conduit providing an effluent gas stream for treatment by the burner, a non-circular outlet aperture, and a nozzle bore extending along a longitudinal axis between the inlet aperture and the outlet aperture for conveying the effluent gas stream from the inlet aperture to the outlet aperture for delivery to the combustion chamber of the burner, the nozzle bore having an inlet portion extending from the inlet aperture and an outlet portion extending to the non-circular outlet aperture. In this way, the non-circular outlet aperture provides a non-circular effluent gas stream flow into the combustion chamber. The non-circular effluent gas flow enables a greater volume of effluent gas stream to be introduced into the combustion chamber whilst still achieving or exceeding the required levels of abatement. This is because a non-circular effluent gas stream provides a reduced distance along which diffusion and reaction needs to occur compared to that of an equivalent circular effluent gas stream. Hence, an increased volume of effluent gas stream can be abated, compared to that of an equivalent circular effluent gas stream.
BURNER AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SYNTHESIS GAS
A burner for producing synthesis gas by partial oxidation of liquid or gaseous, carbon-containing fuels in the presence of an oxygen-containing oxidant and a moderator, which burner can be operated uncooled, i.e. without a fluid coolant being passed through the burner, is proposed. Steam or carbon dioxide or else mixtures of these materials are used as moderator. This is achieved by the feed channels being configured so that mixing of the fuel, the moderator and the oxidant occurs only outside the burner.
