Detecting blockage of a duct of a burner assembly
The present disclosure deals with the detection of a blockage in the air-supply duct or flue of a burner assembly. In some embodiments, a method or system may detect blockages in the form of coverings and with burner assemblies to burn fossil fuels. For example, a control device may generate: a first air-control signal; a fuel-control signal by adjusting the actual values of the ionization current to the ionization-current setpoint; a setpoint increased by a specified amount from the ionization-current setpoint; and a changed fuel-control signal by adjusting the actual values of the ionization current to the increased setpoint in the case of a first air-control signal. The control device may evaluate the changed fuel-control signal generated based on the increased setpoint by comparing it with a specified maximum value and based on the evaluation, to detect a blockage. The control device may recognize the blockage based on the evaluation if the fuel-control signal generated using the increased setpoint exceeds the specified maximum value.
Systems for the control and use of fluids and particles in fuel applications including boilers, refinery and chemical fluid heaters, rotary kilns, glass melters, solid dryers, drying ovens, organic fume incinerators, and scrubbers
Delivery mechanisms and distribution mechanisms are varied, adjusted, or modified based on a desired fuel application. Dimensions, flow rates, pressures, viscosities, temperatures, friction parameters, and combinations thereof may be varied, adjusted or modified. The fuel application may include a scrubber application. The scrubber application uses a delivery mechanism to deliver a wet or dry scrubbing agent at a low pressure to a distribution mechanism. The distribution mechanism distributes the scrubbing agent within the scrubbing chamber. The delivery mechanism is adjustable based on properties of a feedstock utilized to deliver the scrubbing agent, properties of a propellant, or properties of the scrubbing application. The distribution mechanism is adjustable based on desired distribution characteristics including shape, size, or velocity of drops, mists, or particles distributed. Location, processes, and by-products associated with output of the scrubbing application may be based on a stage of the scrubbing application.
Adjustable fuel orifice
A system including a variable orifice component including a main body, a main fuel path extending through the main body, and a control body positioned in the main body. The control body is movable between a first position wherein a first fuel path thereof is in fluid communication with the main fuel path to enable fuel to flow therethrough, and a second position wherein a second fuel path thereof is in fluid communication with the main fuel path to enable fuel to flow therethrough. The system further includes a vent body coupled to the main body. The vent body is movable between a first position wherein the main fuel path is in fluid communication with a vent orifice of the vent body to provide fluid communication between the main fuel path and a surrounding environment, and a second position wherein the main fuel path is not in fluid communication with the vent orifice.
AUDIO SIGNAL DRIVEN TORCH AND TORCH SYSTEM
Methods and systems for a fire device, comprising actuating a respective valve included in each of a plurality of torches based on the audio mode selection and the audio input via a control signal sent through a common line, wherein each of the plurality of torches comprises a wire connection clamp coupling a respective torch of the plurality of torches to the common line to receive the control signal. The valve is part of an ignition configuration, wherein the ignition configuration includes a fan lighter positioned vertically above the gaseous fuel injector, in at least one example.
Dual-fuel fireplace apparatus
A dual-fuel fireplace apparatus is described. In one example, an apparatus includes an enclosure having a door disposed thereon and a wood burning compartment disposed within the enclosure. The wood burning compartment has an insulated housing configured to support temperatures associated with burning of wood within the wood burning compartment. A gas burning compartment is also disposed within the enclosure and has a gas burner disposed therein. A mechanism including a motor is configured to cause movement between a first mode in which the wood burning compartment is viewable through the door and a second mode in which the gas burning compartment is viewable through the door.
High turndown boiler and system and method for controlling a boiler
A heating device includes a combustion chamber, a housing in fluid communication with the combustion chamber, a burner disposed in the housing, a blower assembly connected to the housing for directing air into the interior of the housing, a valve assembly connected to the housing for controlling a flow of fuel into the burner, an optical color sensor for sensing a color profile of a surface of the burner, and a control unit configured to control the valve assembly in dependence upon the color profile of the surface of the burner.
Gas burner and hob comprising a gas burner
The invention relates to a gas burner comprising: —an injection holder (2) with at least three gas injectors (2.1, 2.2, 2.3); —a burner crown assembly (3), the burner crown assembly comprising at least three flame rings (FR1, FR2, FR3) with different sizes, the burner crown assembly further comprising at least three chambers (CH1, CH2, CH3) and at least three pipes (3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3), each pipe being fluidly coupled with a single chamber; wherein each gas injector is associated with one of said pipes for providing gas into said pipe, said pipe being adapted to receive primary air in the area of the injection holder and to provide a combustion mixture of gas and primary air to one of said flame rings of the burner crown assembly. In addition, adjacent flame rings are separated from each other based on an air gap (AG1, AG2) provided between said adjacent flame rings.
PERFORATED FLAME HOLDER SUPPORT MEMBER FOR STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY
A furnace includes a perforated flame holder formed from an array of tiles. The perforated flame holder is stabilized by a support member extending between at least adjacent tiles. Elongated support members may be positioned to extend through each of the tiles in a respective column of the array of tiles.
