STOOLS, CHAIRS, AND METHODS USING THE SAME
An apparatus that supports a user in a variety of positions to comfortably perform tasks, such as applying one or more tattoos to skin of a subject is herein disclosed. The apparatus can be reconfigured to optimally position and support the arms and/or chest of the user. A method for using a stool can involve rotating armrests of the apparatus from a stowed position to a deployed position. The armrests can support the user's forearms while supporting the user's chest such that the user can comfortably perform tasks in front of a chest support of the stool.
MagLev Module with MTL Control System In Furniture and Ice-breaking Vessel
The present invention relates to a innovative magnetic tension lock (MTL) control system which guides the MagLev module in both vertical and horizontal movement. The MagLev module moves on its inherent magnetic force and is guided by the MTL control system. The MagLev module with MTL control system can be used in products of various applications. It can be made at efficient cost to perform unique function. It can provide magnetic cushioning, which is great for seat, bed and other body-supporting furniture. It can also be applied as a cushioning layer against outside impact, thus it can be mounted onto the surface of heavy duty equipment or even the vessel sailing in icy water. It functions on its magnetic energy for load capacity and only requires compact battery power for its MTL control system. Thus it saves energy and reduces impact on the environment. It can replace the traditional MagLev module that runs on electricity otherwise.
Modular seating system
A modular seating system including at least two horizontally oriented support members and at least one core base component of recycled plastic having a top and a bottom adapted to engage the horizontally oriented support members. The plastic core base component includes a series of feature attachment points molded directly into the top and the bottom of the plastic core base component, and the bottom of the plastic core base component includes defined receptacles for at least four vertical support members. The modular seating system may include a core back and armrest component adapted to engage the horizontally oriented support members and the core base component and the feature attachment points.
Adjustable seat occupant support assembly
An adjustable seat occupant assembly for a vehicle seat including an elongate beam spring with an inline slider mechanism at its proximal end that displaces an beam spring flexor, e.g., elongate strap or link, operatively connected to a distal end of the spring to change the amount of flexure and prominence during adjustment to adjust support. In one embodiment, the mechanism is an inline slider crank mechanism carried by a drive carriage extending from the proximal end that rotates a crank when a knob is turned reciprocating the flexor between a fully retracted position where flexure is maximum and a fully extended position flexure is minimum. In another preferred embodiment, the mechanism is an inline slider cam-follower mechanism with a cam rotated by the knob to slidably displace a translating follower yoke that moves the flexor to change spring flexure.
Baseball training device
A baseball training device for allows a catcher to easily slide back and forth behind home plate so as to give the pitcher a better target and thus improve his or her technique and accuracy when it comes to the game. The baseball training device is used with a bucket having a bottom surface and an open top, the top having a circumference of a given diameter, the device having a frame with two parallel rails spaced a predetermined distance apart along their length; and a platform attached to said parallel rails, the platform having a top surface and a width that spans said predetermined distance between said parallel rails, so that the platform is movable along said length of said rails, the platform having a groove with a circumference approximately the same as the circumference of the top of the bucket for receiving the top of the bucket.
