The present floor seat apparatus includes a base, a seat removably seatable in the base, and a tray engagable to the base. The base may be used as a seat by itself, with or without the seat and with or without the tray. The base includes a post. The seat includes a post through opening that engages the post and positions the seat in the seat receptacle of the base.

A table with a stabilizing system is disclosed. The table has a primary shaft having a bottom portion, a lower portion, and an upper portion, wherein the primary shaft has a cut-out at a bottom portion, a locking hole at a lower portion, and a stabilization mounting hole at the upper portion, a secondary shaft inserted into the primary shaft and when inserted, movably affixed to the primary shaft, wherein the secondary shaft has a bottom portion, a lower portion, and an upper portion, and wherein the secondary shaft a locking hole at the lower portion, and a stabilization mounting hole at the upper portion, a pivot positioned through the primary shaft stabilization mounting hole and the secondary shaft mounting hole to movably affix the secondary shaft to the primary shaft about a single point of movement, a lock positioned through the primary shaft locking hole and the secondary shaft locking hole, wherein the lock fastens the secondary shaft to the primary shaft.

A patient support apparatus includes a frame, a stationary member mounted relative to the frame, a movable member having a pivot member rotatably mounting the movable member about the stationary member, and a fastener securing the pivot member to the stationary member. The patient support apparatus also includes a joint between the pivot member and the stationary member, which is configured to apply a tension force on the fastener.

A spring actuated rocking mechanism can be attached to the legs of a collapsible chair to allow for the user to rock in the collapsible chair. The mechanism may be attached at the factory or retrofitted to the chair. The rocking mechanism can be attached to the end of a leg or disposed within a leg, having a leg portion above and below the mechanism.

A tilt locking device for a chair, comprising a housing configured for connection to one of a seat and a frame; a first rotatable locking member, rotatable about a first axis and biased in a first direction about the first axis, the first rotatable locking member is configured for interlocking with a notch member; a rotatable activation member, rotatable about a second axis, the rotatable activation member is configured to abut and rotate the first rotatable locking member in a second direction opposite the first direction into interlocking with the notch member.

An apparatus that supports a user in a variety of positions to comfortably perform tasks, such as applying one or more tattoos to skin of a subject is herein disclosed. The apparatus can be reconfigured to optimally position and support the arms and/or chest of the user. A method for using a stool can involve rotating armrests of the apparatus from a stowed position to a deployed position. The armrests can support the user's forearms while supporting the user's chest such that the user can comfortably perform tasks in front of a chest support of the stool.

An apparatus that supports a user in a variety of positions to comfortably perform tasks, such as applying one or more tattoos to skin of a subject is herein disclosed. A method for using a stool can involve rotating armrests of the apparatus from a stowed position to a deployed position. A body support structure includes a base, a seat and a backrest, with the backrest connected to the base with a torsion leaf spring. The torsion leaf spring may be configured with a plurality of fingers, and/or one or more flex regions. One or more struts may be connected between the seat or backrest and the base. In another aspect, the seat and/or backrest may be supported with one or more links that provide a counter-intuitive motion. In another aspect, a link may be coupled to a support with a flexible blade.

A reclining chair or the like provides a set of base-mounted extendable arms that extend outward as the chair reclines to brace the chair against tipping. A force-limiting coupler allows the reclining mechanism and the extendable arms to be linked while maintaining different force regimes.

An apparatus for mounting an attachment to a seat assembly including a seat mounted on a base includes a substantially planar, substantially rigid mounting plate configured to mount between the seat and the base, a first portion of the mounting plate engaging a plurality of threaded fasteners between the seat and the base, a second portion of the mounting plate extending beyond a perimeter of the seat, and an attachment attached to the second portion of the mounting plate such that the attachment does not interfere with a movement of the seat.
