Gas meter system and heating value derivation method

A gas meter system includes a gas meter, a gas production plant, and a center device. The gas meter includes a sound velocity derivation unit configured to derive a sound velocity of a gas supplied to a demand place. The gas production plant includes: a gas production unit configured to produce the gas; and a gas characteristic identification unit configured to identify a gas characteristic representing a relationship between the sound velocity and a heating value of the gas based on an analysis result of a component of the gas produced by the gas production unit. The center device includes a gas heating value derivation unit configured to derive the heating value of the gas passing through the gas meter based on the derived sound velocity of the gas, and on the gas characteristic identified by the gas characteristic identification unit of the gas production plant.

FEED DEVICE AND FEED METHOD FOR A PYROLYSIS APPARATUS
20200140760 · 2020-05-07 · ·

A feed device of a pyrolysis apparatus and a feed method through which material processed in the pyrolysis apparatus, such as plastic and/or rubber waste, can be fed into the pyrolysis apparatus. In the feed device there is a feed opening for the material to be processed, a feed chamber, closing members in conjunction with the feed chamber and a discharge opening, through which the material to be processed can be conveyed to the pyrolysis apparatus's pyrolysis chamber. A vacuum pump has been adjoined in conjunction with the feed device's feed chamber to achieve a vacuum or sufficient underpressure in the feed chamber after the material to be processed has been fed into the feed chamber and the feed chamber's closing members have been closed. After the closing member of the feed chamber's discharge opening has been opened, the material to be processed, from which the oxygen harmful to the pyrolysis process has been removed, is conveyed into the pyrolysis chamber.

A quick-disconnect gas pipeline comprises a quick-disconnect device (QDD) which comprises a QDD male end and a QDD female end, and a gas hose. The QDD male end is connected to the gas pipeline inside the heating system and the QDD female end is connected to the gas hose outside the heating system. When the heating system is not used, it is easy to disconnect the QDD to prevent people from tripping over the long gas pipeline.

Appliance with electronically-controlled gas flow to burners

An appliance includes a first gas-burning heating element, a first gas path extending from an inlet to the first heating element, and a first solenoid valve positioned within the first gas path. The appliance further includes a second gas path extending from upstream of the first solenoid valve to the first heating element and supplying a base gas flow to the first heating element. A controller is electronically coupled with the first solenoid valve for controlling a supplemental flow of gas through the first gas path to the first heating element such that the supplemental gas flow combines with the base gas flow to achieve a total gas flow. The controller controls the supplemental flow to adjust the total gas flow by pulsing the first solenoid valve at a first rate corresponding to a desired rate of the total gas flow to the first heating element.
