MULTI-FUEL ISOLATED IMPULSE INITIATOR
A multi-fueled impulse initiator that includes a fuel source equipped with a control valve, an air source equipped with a control valve, a removable air flow insert having opposing inlet and outlet faces, an air expansion chamber fluidly connected to both the air source and the inlet face of the removable air flow insert, and an igniter assembly having a sparking tip. The removable air flow insert includes channels traversing from the inlet face to the outlet face of the air flow insert.
EXHAUST-GAS TRACT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
An exhaust-gas tract for a motor vehicle has an exhaust-gas burner that includes an air inlet connection for the introduction of air into the exhaust-gas burner. The air inlet connection has a connection piece in which a check valve for the closure of the connection piece is arranged. The air inlet connection has an air inlet flange which connects the connection piece to a combustion chamber of the exhaust-gas burner and which seals off the combustion chamber. A motor vehicle incorporates the exhaust-gas tract.
Grill apparatus and firebox assembly for use in a grill
A grill apparatus includes a bottom portion, a lid portion, a firebox and an ash bucket. The lid portion is coupled to the bottom portion forming a cooking chamber. The bottom portion receives the firebox. A support structure of the firebox rests on an inner surface of the bottom portion. An inner surface of the bottom port, the support structure of the firebox and a firebox lower opening define a first air path from a lower portion of the cooking chamber to a heat chamber. The ash bucket includes an air vent extending from a base of the ash bucket base into an internal ash receptacle and has an upper vent aperture with a vent cover connected to the air vent. The cover is disposed over an upper vent aperture to further define the first air path.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXTENDING THE TURNDOWN RATIO OF GAS-FIRED BURNER SYSTEMS
The disclosed technology includes a device for extending the turndown ratio of a gas-fired burner system. The device can comprise a variable area device configured reduce the amount of fuel and air passed to the burner during low output conditions by adjusting the cross-sectional area of the passage between the blower and the burner. The variable area device can be controlled by an actuator that adjusts the position of the variable area device. The actuator can be manually controlled, mechanically controlled, or electronically controlled.

Arrangement Having Two Burners
The invention relates to an arrangement (1) including two burners (10), which has a common exhaust gas guiding device (2) and a common supply device (3) for combustion air. A backflow barrier (4) blocks a flow of a gaseous medium in a flow direction and is arranged in the exhaust gas guiding device (2) or in the supply device (3). The backflow barrier (4) has an opening (40) and a movable element (41) which is movable between two positions. The opening (40) is open in case the movable element (41) is in one of the two positions and closed in case the movable element (41) is in another of the two positions.
System and method for bimodal air control in a kettle-style grill
Exemplary embodiments of a system and method for bimodal air control in a kettle-style grill are configured to be detachably mounted to the exterior of a kettle-styled grill such as, but not limited to, a Weber® charcoal grill. When mounted to the kettle-styled grill, a plenum-like component directs air flows to the interior of the grill's kettle via the kettle's lower body damper holes. A manually adjustable intake damper in the plenum component allows, restricts, or prevents a drawn ambient air flow into the plenum component. Separately, a forced air flow generated by a fan may also be provided into the plenum component. Adjustment of the intake damper may also adjust damper blades inside the grill's kettle. Ash that falls out of the kettle's damper holes falls through the plenum component and is captured in an ash receptacle that is removably mounted to the plenum component.
