The apparatus can be reconfigured to optimally position and support the arms and/or chest of the user. A method for using a stool can involve rotating armrests of the apparatus from a stowed position to a deployed position. The armrests can support the user's forearms while supporting the user's chest such that the user can comfortably perform tasks in front of a chest support of the stool.

The yoga stool may include opposed side elements joined by a rear element and front element with a removable top element that may be U-Shaped to allow for additional poses or exercises.

The active sitting chair can be efficiently produced while being relatively sturdy and lightweight. The main body may be a monocoque shell that includes a rounded lower portion that contacts the surface the chair is on and promotes wobble of the chair when a sitter is seated on the chair. The chair may also include built-in handles for ease of lifting and a seat portion at the top of the chair that may include a cushion or similar component for increasing the stability and/or comfort of a sitter.

A chair base is revealed. A round bulge is formed on a center of a bottom surface of a bottom plate and a limit portion is gradually flattened from the round bulge toward a periphery of the bottom plate. A base body is disposed on a top surface of the bottom plate while a cover is used for covering the base body therein and enclosing the periphery of the bottom plate. Thereby the bottom plate, the base body, and the cover are connected and fixed by one another. While in use, users rock the chair by the round bulge on the bottom plate in response to their shifts in center of gravity. A rock angle of the chair is limited by the limit portion. Thereby the users will not tip the chair over while rocking the chair violently and safety in use is ensured.

A chair comprises a seat pan member, a seat back member having a lumbar support member, a lumbar support assembly operatively connected to the lumbar support member and configured for moving the lumbar support member, with respect to the seat pan member and the seat back member, between at least a first position and a second position, and an actuator configured to operate the lumbar support assembly for movement of the lumbar support member between at least the first position and the second position. When the lumbar support member is in the second position, the lumbar support member is positioned forwardly, in a direction toward the seated user's lower back, relative to the seat back member so as to enable the user to be seated forwardly on the seat pan member while being engaged with the lumbar support member.

A submergible stool includes a body having a top, a bottom spaced from the top, and a sidewall extending between the top and the bottom and defining an enclosed interior cavity extending between the top, the bottom, and the sidewall. A first aperture is formed in the sidewall proximate the bottom and extends from the enclosed interior cavity to an exterior of the stool. A second aperture is formed in the sidewall proximate the top and extends from the enclosed interior cavity to an exterior of the stool. The apertures are positioned such that when the stool is placed in a body of water, water will flow into the interior cavity through the first aperture, air will be forced out of the second aperture, and the stool will sink to a bottom of the body of water in an upright position.
