“Thron” is Swedish for throne and so is the ideal name for the product being described here in this abstract. A novel and unique ergonomic chair created for the purpose of sitting for extended periods of time. The human body when forced to remain sedimentary begins to accumulate neural toxins. Toxins like uric and lactic acid become difficult to remove from the body because of a lax seated position over a prolonged period of time. The intended use of Thron as an ergonomic chair is to increase blood circulation and enhance postural awareness from sitting on the air-filled rubber inserts.

A chair for fitness exercise includes a base, a stretching mechanism, a backrest, an armrest, a footrest and a supporting cushion. The stretching mechanism includes a pull rod and an elastic connector. One end of the elastic connector is fixedly connected to the base, and the other end of the elastic connector is connected to the pull rod. The base includes a footrest rod, and one end of the elastic connector is fixedly connected to the footrest rod. The backrest includes a backrest rod. The armrest is connected to the base, and an elastic assembly is fixedly arranged on the armrest. The footrest includes two side supporting rods. The supporting cushion is arranged between two side supporting rods. The elastic assembly includes a connecting rod, a first limiting member, a second limiting member, a third limiting member, a front spring, a rear spring, a first sleeve and an engaged key.

An exercise chair allows a user to obtain physical exercise at his or her desk or other workplace. An exemplary exercise chair may include a frame, including a base, an angled section angled upward from the front of the base, and a back support extending upward from the rear of the base; a seat support rotatably connected to the angled section; and at least one resistance element connected to a rear portion of the seat support and to the back support.

A breast pumping assembly for a forward-leaning chair is provided. The assembly allows for a breast pumping mother to be optimally positioned and comfortable while pumping breast milk, leading to quicker and more effective pumping. The breast pumping assembly and the chair are adjustable to adapt for different sized mothers and changing body size and shape as pumping progresses.

A device for moving the back and core muscles while sitting includes a rocking assembly that sits atop a base assembly, and optionally a height adjustment mechanism between the rocking assembly and the base assembly. The rocking assembly further includes a rocking mechanism that sits between a base plate or platform and a seat. The rocking mechanism can be, for example, a hollow or solid hemispheric- or dome-shaped rocking mechanism, an eccentric bicylinder rocking mechanism, and/or a rocking mechanism based on an arrangement of halfpipe members. The rocking mechanisms of the exercise chair allow to the seat to rock, wobble, and/or swivel with a side-to-side rocking motion, a front-to-back rocking motion, or both a side-to-side rocking motion and a front-to-back rocking motion.

Systems and methods are disclosed for a seat base for a saddle seat. An example seat base may include a first face, the first face forming a planar surface to allow the seat base to be arranged on a surface to be seated, and a second face, the second face forming a concave surface, the concave surface restricting the lateral movement of the saddle seat by guiding the round lower part of the saddle seat towards the lowest point of the concave surface.

A convertible seat including: a support frame; and a user support having a support surface on one side defining a rounded periphery, the user support being movable from a first configuration supported by the support frame with the rounded periphery presented upwardly, to a second configuration supported by the support frame such that a seat or seat base is presented upwardly, the seat or seat base being substantially flat or at least less rounded than the rounded periphery, with the support surface being stowed substantially below the seat or seat base in the second configuration. The seat allows the attainment in a single unit both the healthy balance/core-strengthening of a fitness chair and a conventional chair.

Seat assemblies are provided. In some embodiments, a seat assembly includes a seat member having a first seat surface, a second seat surface, and a third seat surface opposite the second seat surface. The third seat surface is substantially parallel to the second seat surface and the first seat surface is substantially perpendicular to both the second seat surface and the third seat surface. The seat assembly also includes a first side panel affixed to the second seat surface and a second side panel affixed to the third seat surface. An active seat includes a seat disposed at a first end of a body; a convex surface disposed at a second end of the body; and a stacking notch defined at an intermediate location along the body. The convex surface defines at least a first rocking path about which the active seat tilts. The stacking notch defines a flat surface recessed laterally inwardly from an outer periphery of the body taken at the first and second ends.
