Exhaust system with directed energy beam interference avoidance system
A self-powered laser system for discharging high energy light beams is disclosed. The laser system includes a laser unit, a power unit, and an exhaust system. The laser unit is capable of discharging beams in multiple directions. The exhaust system directs exhaust gasses discharged from the power unit.
Apparatus and method for improving campfire heat distribution and airflow
An apparatus includes a heat exchange member at least partially defining a passageway, and structure defining a first plurality of holes and a second plurality of holes. The first and second pluralities of holes provide fluid communication from the passageway to the exterior of the apparatus, i.e., to the atmosphere. A blower is operatively connected to the heat exchange member and configured to blow air into the passageway. The apparatus is configured such that, when the heat exchange member is sufficiently positioned with respect to a campfire, air exiting the first plurality of holes is directed downward and away from the campfire and air exiting the second plurality of holes has an upward velocity component.
Reverse combustion type combustion apparatus
A reverse combustion type combustion apparatus (1) includes a combustion section (2) that combusts fuel in a downward direction, heat exchangers (4, 5) disposed under the combustion section (2), and an exhaust box (6) disposed under the heat exchangers (4, 5). The exhaust box (6) is a molded product made from a synthetic resin material; the exhaust box (6) includes an opening portion (30) for introduction of combustion exhaust gases generated by an upper portion, a fixing portion (33) for fixing the heat exchanger (5), and an inclined bottom portion (35) that collects condensed water generated by the heat exchanger (5); and, at the lower end portion of the exhaust box (6), at least three legs (40) are integrally formed and make the exhaust box (6) stand up by itself.
Managed biochar kiln
An example managed biochar kiln includes drum walls, a drum floor, and a lid formed to be fitted to a top edge of the drum walls to close a top end of the drum walls and form a combustion chamber between the lid, the drum walls, and the drum floor. The example managed biochar kiln also includes a chimney stack attachable to the lid. The example managed biochar kiln also includes a valve on the lid operable by an electronic controller to vary airflow through the chimney and out of the lid.
Power generation system
A power generation system includes: a power generation unit configured to discharge a flue gas; a housing configured to accommodate the power generation unit; a ventilator configured to ventilate the housing; a first gas channel through which a gas discharged from the ventilator flows; a second gas channel through which the flue gas from the power generation unit flows; a merging portion where the first gas channel and the second gas channel merge; a third gas channel through which the gases merged at the merging portion flow; a water trap unit connected to the first gas channel and including a water sealing structure; and a water discharge channel through which water in the water trap unit is discharged to an outside of the housing.
Water Heater Blower Assembly Having a Low Exhaust Port
A draft inducer blower assembly for use with a water heater has a housing, a motor, and a fan. The housing has an exhaust volute surrounding the fan and a base adapted to be mounted atop a water heater. The housing has an inlet port adapted to receive exhaust gas from the water heater. The fan is connected to the motor for rotation about a rotation axis. The exhaust volute has a cut-off at a cut-off angle relative to the rotation axis. The exhaust volute has an exhaust outlet passageway that extends to an exhaust port. The exhaust port is lower than the top of the exhaust volute.
Fan and water heater provided with the same, and impeller and water heater provided with the same
A fan includes: an impeller including a main plate having a first plane, a plurality of first blades each formed the first plane, and a shroud formed integrally with the plurality of first blades; a fan case; a drive source; and a rotation shaft. The first blades each include a linearly protruding region that is linearly increased in height from an outer circumferential side to an inner circumferential side, and a curvedly protruding region that is curvedly increased in height from the outer circumferential side to the inner circumferential side, the height extending in a direction in which each first blade protrudes. The linearly protruding region is welded to the main plate. Accordingly, a highly durable fan can be implemented that allows sufficient durability to be maintained even under a high temperature environment or an acid environment.

Reversible draft controllers and exhaust systems incorporating same
Reversible draft controllers and exhaust systems incorporating reversible draft controllers are disclosed. One system for controlling draft in a chimney includes a sensor for determining condition data, an axial fan blade, an electronically commutated motor (ECM), and a controller. The ECM is configured to rotate the fan blade in a first direction to increase draft in the chimney and in a second, opposite direction to decrease draft. The controller has a processor and a program of instructions executable by the processor to perform steps for controlling draft in the chimney with the fan blade. The steps include: comparing condition data from the sensor to set point data to determine if an intervention is required; addressing insufficient draft by actuating the ECM to rotate the axial fan blade in the first direction; and addressing excessive draft by actuating the ECM to rotate the fan blade in the second direction.
