A connector system for connecting components to a base member is disclosed. In some embodiments, the connector system is used for the installation of furniture components in an in-line arrangement. The connector system includes a base member and a component connector for mounting a component relative to the base member. The component connector is configured for engaging the base member in a connectable state and a connected state.
