A header for an agricultural vehicle. The header includes a header frame and an elongate sickle knife mounted along a leading edge of the header. The header further includes an actuator for reciprocally moving the elongate sickle knife in its longitudinal direction relative to the header frame between a first position and a second position over an intermediate position. At least one accumulator extends between the header frame and the elongate sickle knife to accumulate energy during a first movement of the elongate sickle knife from the intermediate position towards at least one of the first position and the second position, and to release accumulated energy during a second movement of the elongate sickle knife opposite to the first movement.

A crop harvesting machine configured to move cut crop positively across a cutterbar and toward a conditioner element using an undershot rotating element or undershot auger. The crop harvesting machine includes a cutterbar having a plurality of rotary cutters having rotational axis aligned along a line transverse to a moving direction of the crop harvesting machine. The undershot rotating element is subtended by portions of the rotary cutters and is located between rotational axis lines of the rotating cutters and an exit of the crop harvesting machine. The undershot rotating element moves cut crop between the undershot rotating element and the plurality of rotary cutters and to a conditioner element which conditions the cut crop for placement of the conditioned cut crop in swaths on a field.

A system and method for extracting and densifying agricultural plastic from a crop bed includes a mower configured to cut plant material on a crop bed. The mower includes a frame, and a brush and blade attached to the frame. The brush is preferably configured to sweep plant material along the edge of the crop bed into the path of the blade. The system further includes an extractor system having an extractor head assembly for lifting the agricultural plastic from the crop bed after mowing is completed. Embodiments of the extractor system may include a frame, a roller rotatably attached to the frame, and an extractor head assembly positioned rearward of the roller. Agricultural plastic engaged by the extractor head assembly is pulled over the roller. The system may include a winding device configured to densify the agricultural plastic after it has been extracted and lifted off the bed.

Through regular trampling the lawn, the grass on the lawn is kept at a certain height to realize the beauty and ornamentality of the lawn. The automatic lawn trimmer overcomes the shortcomings of large noise, the difficulty of cleaning up the grass, and the hard work by the existing lawn trimmers.

A system for positioning crop windrow guide shields projecting generally rearwardly alongside the crop discharge stream as it exits an agricultural mower. The shields are coupled for simultaneous, coordinated movement and repositioned by a powered actuator in response to either a manual input by a vehicle operator or automatically by a controller based on a steering angle deflection between a tractor and a towed implement. The system may be adapted for use with a single implement being operated on a side hill to control windrow drifting. The system may also be used with simultaneously operated front-mounted and pull-behind mowers to direct the crop discharge streams into a merged windrow.
