According to one embodiment, an oven includes an oven chamber operable to be heated and having a front opening. The oven further includes a frame coupled to and at least partially surrounding the oven chamber. The oven further includes a door operable to seal the front opening of the oven chamber, and a pair of hinges pivotally coupling the door to the frame. Each hinge is positioned on opposing sides of the oven chamber. The oven further includes a pair counterweights that are each coupled to the rear portion of a respective hinge, and a pair of dampers. Each damper is coupled to the frame and operable to resist movement of the door in a single direction opposite that of the other damper.

An air filter mounting/demounting apparatus for a microwave oven having easy mounting and demounting of the air filter is provided. The apparatus includes a base plate having an inlet port through which air is admitted to serve as a hood, an air filter installed at a position corresponding to the inlet port and configured to filter foreign substances being admitted through the inlet port, an air filter bracket coupled to the base plate, an air filter holder at which the air filter is assembled coupled to the air filter bracket to enable a sliding movement along the guide rail, a latch unit configured to be coupled to the base plate to maintain and release engagement of the air filter holder aged, and a spring installed at an inside the latch unit to deliver an elastic force to the air filter holder.

A door apparatus includes a door frame, a boom mounted rotatably to the door frame, a truck mounted reciprocally to the boom, and a door mounted rotatably to the truck. The door is in a closed position received by the door frame, when the boom is rotated toward the door frame and the Door is rotated to an infacing position relative to the door frame. The door is in an open position withdrawn from the door frame, when the boom is rotated away from the door frame. The truck is disabled from reciprocating along the boom and the door is disabled from rotating, when the door is in the closed position. The truck is enabled for reciprocating along the boom and the door is enabled for rotating, when the door is in the open position.

The present subject matter provides an oven appliance. The oven appliance includes a cabinet that defines a chamber. A pair of doors is rotatably mounted to provide selective access to the chamber of the cabinet. A linkage assembly connects the doors of the pair of doors such that the doors rotate open and closed simultaneously. The linkage assembly includes a pair of gears that transfer rotational motion of one door to another door of the pair of doors.

A cooking oven includes a housing defining an internal cooking cavity with an opening. A door assembly includes an inner panel framing an inner glass pane, and an outer panel framing an outer glass pane. A pivot arrangement pivotably mounts the door assembly to the housing. The pivot arrangement includes at least one pivot part located on the door assembly and at least one pivot part located on the housing. The pivot part of the door assembly is separable from the pivot part of the housing via vertically upward movement of the door assembly and upon separation of the pivot part of the door assembly from the pivot part of the housing the door becomes completely removed from the housing to enable the door assembly to be taken to a washing station for cleaning.

An oven is provided that includes an internal surface that faces a cooking area of the oven. An oven door is present that has a convex surface. The oven door is movable from a closed position in which the oven door blocks access to the cooking area from outside of the oven to an open position in which the oven door does not block access to the cooking area from outside of the oven. The oven may also include a receiving compartment that receives at least a portion of the oven door when the oven door is in the open position.
