The invention relates to a damper for reducing pulsations in a gas turbine, which includes an enclosure, a main neck extending from the enclosure, a spacer plate disposed in the enclosure to separate the enclosure into a first cavity and a second cavity and an inner neck with a first end and a second end, extending through the spacer plate to interconnect the first cavity and the second cavity. The first end of the inner neck remains in the first cavity and the second end remains in the second cavity. A flow deflecting member is disposed proximate the second end of the inner neck to deflect a flow passing through the inner neck. With the solution of the present invention, as a damper according to embodiments of the present invention operates, flow field hence damping characteristic in the second cavity constant regardless the adjustment of the spacer plate in the enclosure.
Combustion chamber of a combustor for a gas turbine
A combustion chamber of a combustor for a gas turbine is provided. A combustion chamber includes a plurality of segments arranged annularly about an axis of the combustion chamber, each segment comprising a radial inner wall portion and a radial outer wall portion, a first section comprising an opening for the installation of a burner, and a second section at which at least one airfoil extends between the radial inner wall portion and radial outer wall portion of the segment.
Gas turbine combustor
A gas turbine combustor includes: a tubular body; an air passage; and a resonator. The air passage includes: an upstream region that extends along an outer peripheral surface of the tubular body; a downstream region that extends along an inner peripheral surface of the tubular body and is located at a first side of the combustion chamber in the axial direction; and a direction change region that connects the upstream region to the downstream region in a radial direction of the tubular body and is adjacent to the upstream region such that an area of a section of the air passage which is orthogonal to the axial direction changes at a position between the upstream region and the direction change region. The opening is open toward a space of the air passage which is located downstream of the upstream region.
Combustion device for a gas turbine
A combustion device (1) for a gas turbine includes portions (12) having an inner and an outer wall (13, 14) with an interposed noise absorption plate (15) having a plurality of holes (16). The combustion device (1) further has first passages (17) connecting zones between the inner wall (13) and the plate (15) to the inside of the combustion device (1) and second passages (21) for cooling the inner wall (13). The portions (12) also have an inner layer (22) between the inner wall (13) and the plate (15) defining inner chambers (23), each connected to at least a first passage (17), and an outer layer (24) between the outer wall (14) and the plate (15) defining outer chambers (25) connected to the inner chambers (23) via the holes (16) of the plate (15).
Method for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of a gas turbine, and injection system for implementing same
An air/fuel mixer system of a combustion chamber of a gas turbine includes at least one compressed air intake swirler, the swirler having a central axis of symmetry, and a fuel injector including an injection head having an axis of symmetry. Each injector is mounted in the corresponding swirler with aid of a guide mechanism, so that the axis of symmetry of the injection head is off-center with respect to the central axis of symmetry of the swirler. The system can reduce, or even eliminate, combustion instabilities, by injecting the fuel along a particular axis which is off-center relative to the axis of the air/fuel mixer system, inducing a flow of fuel which is no longer perfectly axially symmetrical.

A gas turbine engine system including a first combustor having a first fuel nozzle and a second combustor having a second fuel nozzle. The system further includes a first acoustic adjuster having a first drive coupled to a first piston with a first fuel orifice. The first piston is disposed along a first fuel passage leading to the first fuel nozzle of the first combustor. The system further includes a second acoustic adjuster having a second drive coupled to a second piston with a second fuel orifice. The second piston is disposed along a second fuel passage leading to the second fuel nozzle of the second combustor.
