The temperature control system includes at least a first temperature sensor inside the firepot and a second temperature sensor inside a cooking chamber above the firepot. The heating element can also serve as the first temperature sensor. A method for controlling the temperature of the grill can include receiving temperature feedback information from one or more of the temperature sensors and adjusting power provided to the auger feeder system, heating element, and blower. The temperature control system produces cold smoke resulting from the combustion of lignin in solid wood fuel while minimizing temperatures inside the cooking chamber.

The combustion gas can be provided to the combustion chamber through the first gas supply duct. The combustion gas can also be provided to the burner tip through the second gas supply duct. The gas burner can include an air supply for combustion air and an exhaust gas flow channel for exhaust gas, wherein the exhaust gas flow channel and the air supply are configured such that combustion air can be heated by the exhaust gas.
Furnace wall, gasification unit and integrated gasification combined cycle, and method of manufacturing furnace wall
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a furnace wall in which a throat section with a smaller channel diameter than other regions can be formed using all peripheral wall tubes. Provided is a furnace wall comprising: a plurality of peripheral wall tubes (142), which are disposed so as to form a cylindrical shape when aligned in one direction and through the interior of which cooling water flows; and fins (140) that connect neighboring peripheral wall tubes (142) in an airtight manner. In a throat section in which the diameter of a horizontal cross-section of the cylindrical shape is reduced in comparison to other regions, the peripheral wall tubes (142) are disposed so as to be in mutual contact and the fins (140) are disposed on the inner circumferential sides of the cylindrical shapes.

Furnace with premix ultra-low NOx (ULN) burner
Disclosed is an induced-draft gas-fired furnace that includes: an electronic furnace controller, a burner assembly, a gas valve, and an inducer motor, wherein the controller: accelerates the inducer motor at a first pre-ignition rate to a first pre-ignition speed; controls the gas valve to supply gas to the burner assembly to obtain a first pre-ignition ratio of fuel to air, operates an igniter to attempt to ignite the first fuel mixture, determines whether fuel has ignited in the burner assembly, wherein when fuel having the first pre-ignition ratio of fuel to air remains unignited after a plurality of ignition attempts, the controller: decelerates the inducer motor to a second pre-ignition rate to obtain a second pre-ignition speed and a second fuel mixture comprising a second pre-ignition ratio of fuel to air, and determines whether the second fuel mixture has ignited in the burner assembly.
System and method for bimodal air control in a kettle-style grill
Exemplary embodiments of a system and method for bimodal air control in a kettle-style grill are configured to be detachably mounted to the exterior of a kettle-styled grill such as, but not limited to, a Weber charcoal grill. When mounted to the kettle-styled grill, a plenum-like component directs air flows to the interior of the grill's kettle via the kettle's lower body damper holes. A manually adjustable intake damper in the plenum component allows, restricts, or prevents a drawn ambient air flow into the plenum component. Separately, a forced air flow generated by a fan may also be provided into the plenum component. Adjustment of the intake damper may also adjust damper blades inside the grill's kettle. Ash that falls out of the kettle's damper holes falls through the plenum component and is captured in an ash receptacle that is removably mounted to the plenum component.
FLAME MODULE FOR A SPECTROMETER
The present disclosure relates to a gas supply system for a flame module of a spectrometer and a method of controlling a flame module. The gas supply system comprises an oxidant gas supply line for providing a supply of oxidant gas, an oxidant gas flow valve for varying a gas flow rate of an oxidant gas in the oxidant gas supply line, an oxidant gas safety controller configured to control the oxidant gas flow valve, a fuel gas supply line for providing a supply of fuel gas, a fuel gas flow valve configured to control a gas flow rate of a fuel gas on the fuel gas supply line, and a fuel gas safety controller configured to control the fuel gas flow valve. During normal operation, the oxidant gas safety controller is configured to charge an energy storage circuit of the oxidant gas safety controller. In the event of a power failure, a first switch of the oxidant gas safety controller is configured to connect the energy storage circuit to the oxidant gas flow valve, wherein the energy storage circuit is configured to discharge energy to the oxidant gas flow valve to increase the oxidant gas flow rate in order to extinguish a flame of the flame module, and the fuel gas safety controller is configured to close the fuel gas flow valve.
Methods and systems for minimizing NOx and CO emissions in natural draft heaters
Systems and methods for reducing NO.sub.x and CO emissions in a natural draft heater are disclosed. For example, the disclosure provides embodiments of systems and methods for controlling a draft value within a heater shell to deliver an amount of excess air to a burner to thereby maintain at least one of NOx emissions not exceeding 0.025 lb/MMBtu (HHV) and CO emissions not exceeding 0.01 lb/MMBtu (HHV) in a natural draft heater.
