A multi-purpose backpack that can help a user to rest has an appearance showing no difference with an ordinary backpack. This present invention relates to furniture, and more specifically to an ottoman that can be folded into different positions to become a sofa, a recliner or a bed. The foldable ottoman comprises a base frame having supporting members and four legs, a center segment, a first end segment and a second end segment. The center segment has a base that is pivotally attached to two of the four legs. The first end segment has a base pivotally attached to two of the four legs and is also linked to a supporting platform, a pivotable leg handle is attached to the first segment base, and a supporting platform connected to the base. The supporting platform is able to tilt off the base at varying angles. The second end segment has a second end segment base that is pivotally attached to two of the four base frame legs and a pivotable leg handle attached to the second end segment base and may also be linked to a supporting platform.

A flat plate based system for securing legs to a chair is provided wherein a chair support has two catches and two leg pieces each have a tab at one end, the tab configured to interact with one of the two catches, each leg piece including an opening through which a tension member passes. Anchor pieces are configured to secure to the tension member such that the tension member pulls the anchor pieces together. The leg pieces each have an edge such that the edges face each other and the tabs interact with the catches and the tension member is positioned in the opening and the anchor pieces and tension member pull the edges together to hold the tabs against the two catches.

A method for generating a rebounding motion between a person and a surface includes the steps of providing a rebounding device, positioning the rear member against the surface and the front member adjacent to an upper body of the person and the surface, and applying pressure to the rebounding device through the upper body. The rebounding device includes front and rear members having front and rear widths spanning right front and rear side edges and left front and rear side edges and first and second spring mechanisms positioned between the front and rear members. The first and second spring mechanisms are positioned between the right front side edge of the front member and the right rear side edge of the rear member and between the left front side edge of the front member and the left rear side edge of the rear member, respectively.

Systems and methods for moving a convertible bench between a first position, which presents a backrest, and a second position, which presents a table top, is described herein. While the described systems can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a base having a first end piece that has a first set of legs with a first arched leg support that extends between the first set of legs and a second end piece having a second set of legs with a second arched leg support that extends between the second set of legs. The bench further includes a backrest/table portion that is hingedly coupled to the base so as to be pivotable from a first position that presents a backrest to a second position that presents a table top. Systems and methods for moving a convertible bench between a first position, which presents a backrest, and a second position, which presents a table top, is described herein. While the described systems can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a base having a first end piece that has a first set of legs with a first arched leg support that extends between the first set of legs and a second end piece having a second set of legs with a second arched leg support that extends between the second set of legs. The bench further includes a backrest/table portion that is hingedly coupled to the base so as to be pivotable from a first position that presents a backrest to a second position that presents a table top.
