Gas pilot burner assembly

A pilot tube assembly for easy repair and/or replacement of a pilot hood is disclosed. In one example, a field configurable burner tube assembly may include a burner tube, a pilot hood, wherein the pilot hood engages the burner tube and can be secured to the burner tube in any of two or more different orientations in the field, a thermo-electric device, and a bracket for carrying the pilot hood and burner tube assembly adjacent to the thermoelectric device.

Dual fuel pilot light burner

A dual pilot light burner assembly suitable for working with a first type of gas or a second type of gas. According to one implementation the assembly includes a support, a regulating sleeve having a first nozzle, an air and gas mixing and intake chamber, and an injector having a second nozzle. The regulating sleeve is moveable with respect to the injector for placing the first supply nozzle in a first position with respect to the second supply nozzle for the delivery of the first type of gas to the pilot nozzle. The regulating sleeve moveable with respect to the injector for placing the first supply nozzle in a second position with respect to the second supply nozzle for the delivery of the second type of gas to the pilot nozzle. The regulating sleeve including structure accessible by an external tool and capable of receiving an end of the tool for use in moving the regulating sleeve between the first and second positions.

High-capacity igniter
12158268 · 2024-12-03 · ·

An improved and high capacity gas igniter for furnaces and burners. The igniter can include an igniter tip that is annular in shape and includes various holes of different sizes and angular projections distributed throughout. The igniter tip may utilize a slip-joint-like mechanism or sleeve that connects inner and outer tubes of a guide tube that allows the inner tube to slide when undergoing thermal expansion. This configuration alleviates stress from building up on the inner tube and igniter tip, preventing damage.

A semi-submersible gas burner assembly for a fire-on-water feature, the assembly including a tubular void former having nominal waterline disposed between proximal and distal ends and a separable lid engaging the distal end. The lid includes inner and outer peripheral skirts projecting toward and past the waterline, respectively. At least one gas manifold arm extends through and outward from the tubular void former, and includes a gas port disposed proximate the sidewall. The sidewall at the distal end includes a communicating aperture which fluidly interconnects the interior of the tubular void former with a flame retention chamber defined by the sidewall, the lid, the inner peripheral skirt of the lid, and the nominal waterline.

Modulating Burner With Venturi Damper

A modulating burner apparatus includes a burner and a blower placed upstream of the burner. A venturi is placed upstream of the blower. A damper valve is placed upstream of the venturi. The damper valve has an open position and a restricted position. A smaller gas valve and a larger gas valve are communicated with the venturi. A controller is operably associated with the system to select a position of the damper valve and to select the appropriate one of the gas valves so as to provide a low output operation mode and a high output operation mode, which in combination provide an overall turndown ratio of at least 25:1.

Flare Pilot with Water Accumulation Evacuation
20170130959 · 2017-05-11 ·

A flare pilot assembly has inner and outer tubes, defining inner and outer passages. A manifold delivers air and fuel to the outer passage. A bleed off passage directs a portion of the fuel and air entering the manifold to the exterior of the manifold. A diversion port in the inner tube diverts into the inner passage a portion of the air and fuel flowing through the outer passage. An electrical sparking device ignites air and fuel flowing through the inner passage. An evacuating tube extends from the manifold through the inner passage to the distal portion of the inner tube. The evacuating tube conveys moisture that may accumulate at the distal portion of the inner passage through the bleed off passage to the exterior.
