HINGE ASSEMBLY FOR A HOME APPLIANCE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING

A hinge assembly for moveably coupling a door with a cabinet of a home appliance includes a first hinge plate coupled with the cabinet and a second hinge plate coupled with the door and moveable relative to the first hinge plate about a pivot pin. One of the first hinge plate and the second hinge plate includes a step vertically offset from a body of the hinge plate. When the door is moved into the open position, the second hinge plate travels downward relative to the first hinge plate due to the step. The step is configured to inhibit movement of the door to the closed position until a vertical force is applied to lift the second hinge plate relative to the first hinge plate into a closed position.

Fire pit

A fire pit comprising a body having a side wall structure. The body further comprises a base plate located adjacent a lower end portion of the side wall structure, and an opening defined by a perimeter of an upper end portion of the side wall structure. Together, the side wall structure and the base plate form a fire pit chamber. The lower end portion of the side walls and the base plate form a collection sump for collecting and retaining ash that is generated during use. The lower portion of two opposite side walls and and the base plate are tapered downwards towards the center of the base plate to facilitate collection of ash.

A COOKER

A solid-fuel cooker, such as a barbecue, oven, or smoker for outdoor use, comprising a body enclosing a fuel chamber configured to act as a firebox for combustion of solid fuel, such as wood, charcoal or briquettes. The fuel is supported within the chamber on a fuel support and a cooking zone is spaced above the fuel chamber for receiving food items to be cooked. The body comprises an outer shell forming an exterior housing of the cooker, and an inner shell encompassing the fuel chamber, wherein the inner shell is housed within the outer shell and is spaced from the outer shell to thermally isolate or insulate the fuel chamber from the exterior housing of the cooker.

A firewood stack retainer is used with standard 24 lumber to retain a stack of firewood sticks in a neat and tidy arrangement. The retainer is made of a stiff rectangular frame. The longitudinal members have a length similar to a width of a normal stack of firewood. The longitudinal members are spaced apart a distance equivalent to a hypotenuse of a right angle isosceles triangle with sides having a dimension equivalent to a thickness of a standard 24 piece of lumber. The rails and posts of the stack are mounted to the retainer in a relaxed fit. A relax tolerance of +10-15% of the hypotenuse, is preferably used so that the posts can lean back and remained in a locked position pending the stacking of firewood sticks on the rails and against the posts.

NON-GAS FIRE PIT

A fire an inner chamber wall circumscribing and defining an inner chamber. A plurality of primary air apertures defined through the inner chamber wall at a first, lower level and a plurality of secondary air apertures defined through the inner chamber wall at a second, upper level. A fuel grate is supported within the inner chamber at a level between the lower level and the upper level. Solid fuel supported by the fuel grate, when combusted, is provided primary combustion air from below the fuel grate by the primary air apertures and provided secondary combustion air from above the solid fuel by the secondary air apertures, the secondary combustion air promoting combustion of unburned gasified combustibles rising within the inner chamber.
