Method for operating a cooking device, and such a cooking device for performing the method

An apparatus and related method for operating a cooking appliance comprising a convection oven, a hot-air steamer, or a convection steamer, which includes a cooking chamber which can be closed by a door, a heating device, at least one steam injection device, at least one flow-generating device such as a blower, at least one temperature sensor, which detects the temperature in the cooking chamber, and an electronic appliance control unit with memory, in which cooking programs comprising the cooking sequences for specific food products are stored. Based on the time extending from a starting to a target temperature value, it is determined on the basis of the detected temperature curve in the cooking chamber whether and possibly to what extent it will take extra time to reach the target temperature. On this basis the appliance control unit calculates a cooking time extension, by which the cooking program step is extended.

Burner with adjustable injection of air or of gas
10234137 · 2019-03-19 · ·

A burner that includes a primary air or gas duct delimited by an exterior wall and a concentric interior wall of axis X and ducts for radial primary air or gas injection is described. The air or gas duct includes a ring that is rotationally mobile and has axial protrusions constituting distributors which collaborate with the radial primary air ducts arranged on the interior wall and form two passages of different angles in each duct. Rotating the ring making it possible to vary the angle of injection of the radial primary air. Thus, the regulation is situated just at the tip of the burner, in the region of the outlet of the primary air into the kiln, by modifying the outlet angle of the radial component for fixed section, thereby greatly simplifying the regulating of the burner.

An electric fireplace (10) includes a log assembly (319) and a flame generator (324). The flame generator (324) directs light away from the log assembly (319) in both a first direction (318A) and a second direction (318B) that is different from the first direction (318A) to generate a three-dimensional simulated flame (318).

AUTOMATIC OVEN WITH HUMIDITY SENSOR

In at least another aspect, a method for calculating a humidity level in a cooking apparatus is disclosed. The method comprises heating a food load in a cooking cavity of the cooking apparatus and selectively activating a convection fan in the cooking cavity. The method further comprises monitoring a humidity signal detected by a humidity sensing apparatus in response to the activation of the convection fan. As a result of the activation of the convection fan, the method may determine an actual humidity level from a plurality of humidity levels based on a change in the humidity signal.
