A refrigeration cycle device includes a compressor, a heating radiator, a heat medium radiator, a decompressor, an evaporator, and a radiation amount adjuster. The heating radiator is configured to allow a high-pressure refrigerant to release heat to a heat exchange target fluid. The heat medium radiator is configured to allow the high-pressure refrigerant to release heat to a high-temperature side heat medium. The radiation amount adjuster is configured to adjust heat radiation amount radiated from the high-pressure refrigerant to the heat exchange target fluid at the heating radiator. In a heating mode, the radiation amount adjuster is configured to adjust the heat radiation amount at the heating radiator to be larger than a heat radiation amount at the heat medium radiator. In a cooling mode, the radiation amount adjuster is configured to adjust the heat radiation amount at the heating radiator to be lower than that in the heating mode.

Hot water supply system, server and non-transitory computer readable recording medium

A hot water supply system includes a hot water supply device which can be connected to an external communication network via a communication repeater, and a server. The server obtains, in pairing processing of associating a mobile terminal device which can remotely control the hot water supply device with the hot water supply device, identification information of a communication repeater to which the mobile terminal device is connected, and stores the identification information along with pairing information. Besides, the server performs control to determine conditions of the remote control based on whether the identification information of the communication repeater stored in association with the hot water supply device being a remote operation destination matches identification information of the communication repeater received from the mobile terminal device in the communication, when the communication of the remote control is received from the mobile terminal device.

Hot-water supply device

A hot-water supply device includes a hot-water dispenser supplying hot-water, a hot-water supply path supplying the hot-water to a hot-water supply tap, a circulation path carrying out instant hot-water operation which circulates and heats the hot-water remaining in the hot-water supply path, a first clock repeatedly measuring unit times in which a pattern of hot-water usage of a user makes a round, and a flow rate sensor detecting the supply of the hot-water from the hot-water supply tap. The control portion detects, for each of the unit times and based on detection signals of the flow rate sensor, a time zone in which hot-water supply operation is carried out, and reserves, based on a time zone in a first unit time in which the hot-water supply operation is carried out, a time zone in a second unit time following the first unit time for carrying out the instant hot-water operation.

Self-powered water heater

A gas-fired instantaneous water heater including a thermoelectric generator (TEG) and a heat pump that is powered by the TEG to improve efficiency compared to existing water heaters. Water to be heated is circulated through the heat pump, TEG heat exchanger, and primary heat exchanger to produce a stream of heated water. An adjustable firing rate permeable matrix radiant burner is included, in which natural gas and air are combusted to produce combustion products, including heat. The combustion products are condensed in a condensing system to produce cooled and dry exhaust gas.

A scale adhesion prevention operation of a circulation pump operated in an instant hot water operation is efficiently and appropriately performed. An instant hot water circulation path is formed to bypass a hot water tap outside a hot water supply device and to pass through a heat exchanger inside the hot water supply device by operating a circulation pump when the hot water tap is closed. A controller performs a protection operation which operates the circulation pump when a first condition in which stop of the circulation pump is continued for a first time is satisfied and a second condition related to stop of a hot water supply operation is further satisfied.

REAL-TIME HEATED WATER SUPPLY MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS FOR WATER HEATERS AND METHODS THERETO

Disclosed herein is a water heating system including a water heater having a tank, and a first temperature sensor disposed toward a top end of the tank to measure a first temperature and a second temperature sensor disposed toward a bottom end of the tank to measure a second temperature. The water heating system can further include a controller communicably coupled to the first temperature sensor and the second temperature sensor, where the controller determines an amount of heated water in the tank based on one or more algorithms and measurements made by the first and second temperature sensors.

Water heater with integrated building recirculation control

A water heater system includes a controller configured to integrate control of both recovery and recirculation operations of a recovery pump and a recirculation pump. As such, a separate device, installation location, and power source (e.g., available outlet) is not needed with the controller. Because a single controller is configured to control both recovery and recirculation operations, additional control functions are available. The controller may be in communication with an internal controller of the water heater and configured to receive an error notification upon abnormal operation of the water heater. The controller can stop recovery and recirculation operations in response to an error notification, unlike with traditional water heating systems which may otherwise continue to function. The recovery and recirculation operations are based on a setpoint temperature of the water heater such that changes made to the setpoint temperature will automatically adjust in the recovery and recirculation operations.

Heated water supply system and methods thereto

A heated water device is disclosed. The heated water device includes a cold water tank configured to receive cold water from a cold water source and a hot water tank configured to receive water from a hot water source and discharge water to the cold water source. The heated water device includes a pump configured to selectively pump water from the hot water source and to the hot water tank and a valve configured to selectively permit water to flow from the hot water tank to the cold water source. The heated water device includes a thermoelectric generator configured to generate electrical energy from a water temperature differential between cold water in the cold water tank and heated water in the hot water tank.
