A method for heating a room may include installing at least one heating panel on a ceiling of the room and providing power to the heating element to generate heat that radiates into the room. The panel may be part of a heating system including a controller, such as a thermostat, for regulating power to the heating panel. A plurality of heating panels or a plurality of heating zones in one or more of the panels may be independently controllable.

Spa systems may be used all year round and in colder weather provide an enjoyable experience for users through the cold ambient outdoor temperature and the heated water of the spa. However, failures in respect of the water circulating pump and/or heater of the spa system either mechanically, electrically or through overall power outages mean the water in the spa system and its pipework can easily freeze if ambient conditions are cold enough leading to cracks in the spa system or pipes and hence leaks when the water thaws requiring costly repair or replacement of components or entire systems. Accordingly, a freeze protection system is provided that uses a backup thermal management system discretely or in combination with other backup systems. These freeze protection systems offering backup when mechanical failures, electrical failures etc. arise by providing thermal input to the spa system through alternate thermal paths and providing alarms.

A baseboard radiator (10) for use in perimeter heating has a heating coil (11), a chassis (25) and a cover (23). The heating coil (11) has at least one fin (12), defining a front edge (13), a rear edge (14), an upper edge (15) and a lower edge (16) of the heating coil (11). The lower edge (16) has front (21) and rear (22) notches formed therein. The chassis (25) engages with the rear notch (22) and extends from the lower edge (16) over the rear edge (14) and the upper edge (15). The chassis (25) is further adapted for mounting the radiator (10) on a wall (28). The cover (23) engages with the front notch (21) and extends from the lower edge (16) over the front edge (13) and the upper edge (15) to engage between the chassis (25) and the wall (28).

Outdoor enclosure for a circulating pump

The present invention describes a novel outdoor enclosure for circulating pumps for outdoor tankless heaters, outdoor boilers and other outdoor applications. The enclosure includes a body and a cover with the body attaching to the circulator motor. When closed, the enclosure keeps rainfall and other contaminates from entering the wiring space within the enclosure and the circulator motor. The body of the enclosure has multiple ports for electrical wiring inputs for power and for controls connections which can be made with flexible cords and/or hardwires. The outdoor enclosure can be equipped with a terminal strip to simplify wiring and/or with a timer to control when the circulator operates. To avoid problems associated with freezing, the enclosure may include a thermal device that turns the circulator on if temperatures drop. To secure the cover to the body, fastener tabs are included that can accept a screw or lock.

The improved anode rod assembly is useful for providing a longer life span for water heater units. Further, an illustrated view of an exemplary water intake assembly is presented. The water intake assembly is useful, it provides an extra port so that more anodes can be inserted into the tank. Also having the dip tube at the very bottom of the tank provides more hot water and increases the efficiency of the water heater. Having multiple anodes will give an indefinite life span for the water heater.

A tankless water heater including a water inlet, a water outlet, a conductivity sensor, a temperature sensor, and a heating chamber connected to the water inlet and the water outlet wherein the heating chamber is configured to heat a flow of water received from the water inlet and output the flow of water to the water outlet. The water heating system can further include a controller communicably coupled to the conductivity sensor and the temperature sensor, where the controller calculates an adjusted conductivity of a flow of water through the water heater.
