Therapeutic cushion systems and methods
Apparatus and methods for providing therapeutic treatment for symptoms associated with GERD and/or other digestive disorders and/or other medical conditions are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a support element and a conformable riser element adjacent the support element. The riser element and the support element collectively form a body support member configured to support a user and define a receiving portion configured to receive a portion of the user's arm. The riser element and the support element are each disposed within a casing formed at least in part with a stretch material. In some embodiments, the riser element includes a polyester filler material and the stretch material includes a four-way stretch material. The four-way stretch material in combination with the polyester filler material enables the riser element to be conformable.
Knee cushions
A knee cushion is disclosed which includes an integral foam member having a first major surface, an oppositely aligned second major surface, at least one side wall joining the first major surface to the second major surface. Leg depressions are formed in both the first and second major surfaces. The leg depressions are arranged in the shape of a modified peace symbol. The leg depressions permit a person to position the knee cushion between their knees while sleeping on their side to assist in aligning their hips and for keeping their spine straight. The integral foam member also includes a circular depression located in a central portion of the modified peace symbol on both the first and second major surfaces. Lastly the integral foam member has an Indentation Force Deflection at 25% of from between about 8 pounds-force to about 18 pounds-force.
Portable sleep support structures
A portable sleep support structure for enabling a user to rest comfortably while in a confined space or seated position. The sleep support structure is made of several elements that may be detachable from each other. The sleep support structure, which also includes telescoping elements, enables a user to rest and fall asleep by leaning forward into the sleep support structure which supports the head, neck and torso of a user. This support system enables a user to relax and makes sitting for long periods less stressful, because the user is able to sleep, rest or relax, in the seated position. The sleep support structure is anchored by the bodyweight of the user leaning into the structure, which is placed on the thighs of the user. A torso strap is also utilized to stabilize the chest of a user.

Leg Support Pillow
A leg support pillow for supporting the back of the knee includes a base having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface. The top surface of the base is abutting and supporting the back of the knee to bend the leg of the user. A prop is attached to the first side surface and extends vertically upwardly to a height dimension greater than a height dimension of the top surface at an apex of the top surface to define a lateral barrier relative to the base. A retention member is attached to the base and the prop to removably extend over the leg to retain the leg on the base.
Body Support
A sleeping system may include a torso wedge section, the torso wedge section being inflatable and a knee bolster section, the knee bolster section being inflatable. A positioning device may include a torso wedge section to receive weight from a user's torso; a knee bolster section to receive weight from a user's legs; and a strap coupling the torso wedge section and the knee bolster section together to prevent the torso wedge section and the knee bolster section from separating.
Bed sheet with an integrated body positioner
Implementations of a bed sheet with an integrated body positioner are provided. In some implementations, the bed sheet may comprise a sheet having an integrated body positioner, the body positioner may comprise a head portion, a torso portion, a first arm portion, a second arm portion, a first leg portion, a second leg portion, or any combination thereof. In some implementations, one or more portions of the integrated body positioner may include a removable pillow, or padding, that is positioned therein. In some implementations, the integrated body positioner may include an elevating foot portion instead of the leg portions. The elevating foot portion may be configured to act as a pillow for a user's feet and/or ankles. In some implementations, the bed sheet with an integrated body positioner may be configured so that it can be secured on a mattress, an infant changing pad, and/or any other suitable structure.
Portable medical lift and positioning device
A lift and position device and methods of use therewith designed to aid attendants in moving and propping the various selected body parts of a patient from atop a support surface, for example, a mattress. The device utilizes a base for stability, a separately powered screw jack, radial adjustment head, a cushion cradle and a single or plurality of fitted cushion(s) configured to optimally raise and lower a particular body part of a patient such as his or her arms, torso, legs, back and the like. All elements of the device are ultralight and ultra-strong, some or all of the components of the device being composed of Carbon Fiber, Aluminum, injection molded plastic, and Titanium. The device utilizes advantageous mechanics of jack technology modified to suit the specific needs of an attendant wishing to the lift, position or prop and secure a particular body part of a patient, for example, an immobile, obese or otherwise incapacitated patient. In addition, the device will aid in daily turning of patients, pulmonary relief via leg elevation and enhanced healing by securely holding appendages still and securely at various angles and heights for an unlimited amount of time.
