A sanitizing system for water treatment in appliances that use or that have an associated water cycle where sanitization of the water in the water cycle is beneficial. The system comprises a controller, a biocide, and a biocide injection subsystem, wherein the controller provides a signal to the injection subsystem to release a biocide into a water reservoir contained within the appliance, and further wherein the signal provided by the controller is in response to a signal received by the controller from the appliance.

DUAL INLET AIR DIFFUSER

Dual inlet air diffuser for a heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The dual inlet air diffuser mixes two or more separate and/or distinct air streams into a homogenous or nearly homogenous mixture of air. The two or more separate air streams may have different temperatures and/or different humidity levels, and/or may be from different sources, such as having one air stream comprising ventilation air that includes filtered air from an outside, ambient air source and a second conditioned air stream from a heating, air conditioning, or other air treatment unit.

MEDICAL AIR TREATMENT DEVICE

An air treatment device having a flexible air hose, duct or gooseneck member. The air hose, duct or gooseneck member permits an inlet end thereof to be positioned in proximity to a patient so that a negative pressure can be created around the patient so that air can sucked or vacuumed into the system whereupon it is treated as the air flows through the system.

GEOTHERMAL HEAT UTILIZATION SYSTEM AND OPERATION METHOD FOR GEOTHERMAL HEAT UTILIZATION SYSTEM

The geothermal heat utilization system is capable of supplying underground water of an upper aquifer from the first upper opening to the second upper opening via the first pipe, and capable of supplying underground water of a lower aquifer from the second lower opening to the first lower opening via the second pipe. Further, the geothermal heat utilization system is configured to pump hot water and at the same time, pump cold water.

Hot gas reheat modulation

A stepped approach to cooling capacity control and the HGRH status logic to achieve the requisite control of humidity and temperature provided to an interior area or building space receiving conditioned air. The system includes at least two independent circuits, each circuit having at least one compressor. At least one of the independent circuits includes hot gas reheat hardware thereby providing HGRH capability. The logic provides an efficient method for maintaining both humidity and temperature in the interior area comfortable for occupants within limits as determined by psychrometrics. The system and method match the sensible capacity and latent capacity of the system match to the sensible and latent loads of the conditioned space.

Two-channel air conditioner for the flexible climate control of a number of rooms
09816713 · 2017-11-14 · ·

The invention relates to a two-channel air-conditioner (10) for the climate control of a number of rooms (44, 46, 48) and/or room zones, having an air inlet device (52) in every room (44, 46, 48) to be climate controlled, having at least one pair of supply air channels (20, 22) wherein at least one supply channel (20, 22) comprises a cooling and/or heating register (32, 34; 58, 60) having at least one temperature regulator for each room (44, 46, 48) to be climate controlled, which keeps the room (44, 46, 48) to be climate controlled at a room temperature (T.sub.room target) which can be set, having valve units (54, 72), which connect the supply air channels (20, 22) to the air inlet device (52). The invention is characterized in that it allows switching, the cooling or heating register (32, 34; 58, 60) is only opened as needed if the temperature in at least on of the supply air channels (20,22) is insufficient for cooling or heating the room (44, 46, 48) to be climate controlled.

Environmental Control Unit

An environmental control unit, such as an. HVAC or heat pump unit, includes a housing which contains four main components: a blower which draws air into the housing via an air inlet and exhausts air from the housing via an air outlet; a first heat exchanger that exchanges heat through the air and is located between the air inlet and the blower; a second heat exchanger, which exchanges heat through water and is disposed in the second area of the housing; and a compressor. The environmental control unit having a predetermined set of parts can be arranged in multiple configurations to meet installation requirements, where configurations include air entering from the left side or, alternatively, from the right of the environmental control unit. The configurations utilize the same parts and provide front-facing access to fluid connections and the control board.

Equipment fault detection, diagnostics and disaggregation system

A system for fault detection and diagnostics of equipment. The system may also be capable of disaggregation and/or virtual submetering of energy consumption by equipment, such as that of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting, and so forth, in a building. Vibration and current sensors, along with one or more algorithms, may be utilized for fault detection and diagnostics of equipment. Models may be developed to aid in deducing energy consumption of individual components of equipment, and the like, for a building.

HVAC SYSTEM WITH VOLUME MODULATING VALVE
20210388998 · 2021-12-16 · ·

An HVAC system is described having components of a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) outdoor compressor unit connected to an indoor fan coil unit. The indoor fan coil unit supplies air to ducts that condition a plurality of zones. Each zone has a volume modulating air damper that can maintain a predetermined volume of air flowing through it. As the dampers for some zones vary between open and close positions, the air pressure in the ducts changes. The volume modulating dampers compensate for these pressure changes, ensuring that only the predetermine volume of air is passing into the zones. By regulating the volume of into each zone, the volume modulating air dampers can restrict the air volume through the fan coil causing the outdoor unit to reduce compressor speed, thereby saving energy.
