Air Treatment Device and Control Method
An air treatment device and a control method are provided. The air treatment device includes a water tank assembly, a water trough and a sterilization device. The sterilization device includes a sterilization portion, the sterilization portion is provided in the water trough, a water replenishing switch is provided between the water tank assembly and the water trough, and the water replenishing switch is configured to control connection and disconnection between the water tank assembly and the water trough. The air treatment device further includes a control portion, and the control portion is capable of controlling an opening and closing of the sterilization portion according to an on-off state of the water replenishing switch to ensure a good sterilization effect.
Apparatus and method for control of solid desiccant dehumidifiers
The present invention generally discloses desiccant dehumidifiers control systems. In particular, the present invention relates to solid desiccant dehumidifiers which use a rotor (commonly called a wheel) to dehumidify a process airstream. The invention provides a novel apparatus for control of desiccant dehumidifiers and to an improved method of control of such dehumidifiers, and also to dehumidifiers provided with such control systems.
Integrated smart actuator and valve device
An integrated device in an HVAC system is configured to modify an environmental condition of a building. The device includes a valve configured to regulate the flow of fluid through a conduit, an actuator comprising a motor and a drive device, and a communications mechanism. The communications mechanism is configured to receive a flow rate setpoint from an external control device of an outer control loop. The device further includes a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to determine an actuator position setpoint using a cascaded feedback control mechanism based on the flow rate setpoint and a flow rate measurement from a flow rate sensor of an inner control loop. The valve, the actuator, the communications mechanism, and the processing circuit are located within a common integrated device chassis.
Dual-mode power stealing for a climate control system controller
A controller for use in a climate control system. The controller, which may be a wireless-enabled thermostat, includes a power stealing circuit configured to steal power from a first load that is in an “on” mode and from a second load that is in an “off” mode. The stealing is performed from the first and second loads at the same time. Sufficient power can be stolen to support substantially constant operation of a transceiver of the controller.

An air purifying device includes an air purifier mechanism, a controller, and a sensing device configured to detect one or more conditions in a predetermined area proximate the air purifying device. The controller is configured to receive an input to select one of the predetermined operational settings to govern the operation of the air purifier mechanism. The air purifier mechanism is configured to operate in at least one of a plurality of modes of operation in each of its predetermined operational setting. The controller is configured to change modes of operation of the air purifier mechanism from a first mode of operation to a second mode of operation in response to its sensing device detecting a change in said one or more conditions in the predetermined area and based on the selected predetermined operational setting.

Direct power control for constant airflow control with advanced motor system modeling
Systems and methods for providing constant airflow based on direct motor power control and advanced motor system modeling are described. A power and speed of a motor may be determined based on static pressure in the system. A target airflow rate for the system may be obtained, and a target motor power that yields the target airflow rate in the system may be determined based on the determined speed of the motor and the obtained target airflow rate for the system. A determination of whether the determined motor power is approximately equal to the target motor power may be made, and the power of the motor may be adjusted when the motor power is not approximately equal to the target motor power.
Systems and methods for configuring and communicating with HVAC devices
An actuator in a HVAC system includes a mechanical transducer, an input data connection, a feedback data connection, and a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to use a master-slave detection signal communicated via the feedback data connection to select an operating mode for the actuator from a set of multiple potential operating modes including a master operating mode and a slave operating mode. The processing circuit is configured to operate the mechanical transducer in response to a control signal received via the input data connection according to the selected operating mode.
Air conditioning system
When an outdoor air handler performs a heating humidifying operation and an air conditioner performs a cooling operation, a control device adjusts at least one of a to-be-supplied air temperature of the outdoor air handler, a to-be-supplied air flow rate of the outdoor air handler, a to-be-supplied water flow rate of the outdoor air handler, and a cooling temperature that is a temperature at an air heat exchanger of the air conditioner. The control device adjusts the to-be-supplied air temperature and the cooling temperature on the basis of dehumidification information, operation information, temperature information, and humidity information. The operation information is information regarding an operating state of the air conditioner.
Self-orienting refrigerant sensor systems
A self-orienting sensing system for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a housing having a main body. The housing defines a sensing aperture in a first portion of the main body and a mounting channel in a second portion of the main body. The self-orienting sensing system includes a sensing element retained within the housing. The sensing element is configured to detect leaked refrigerant that enters the housing via the sensing aperture. The self-orienting sensing system also includes a mounting retainer configured to extend through the mounting channel and couple the housing to an interior surface of an air handling enclosure of the HVAC system. The mounting retainer enables the mounting channel to rotate about the mounting retainer to automatically align the sensing aperture in a target sensing orientation based on a weight of the housing under the force of gravity.
