Water heater blower assembly having a low exhaust port
A draft inducer blower assembly for use with a water heater has a housing, a motor, and a fan. The housing has an exhaust volute surrounding the fan and a base adapted to be mounted atop a water heater. The housing has an inlet port adapted to receive exhaust gas from the water heater. The fan is connected to the motor for rotation about a rotation axis. The exhaust volute has a cut-off at a cut-off angle relative to the rotation axis. The exhaust volute has an exhaust outlet passageway that extends to an exhaust port. The exhaust port is lower than the top of the exhaust volute.
Water heater
Provided is a miniaturized water heater having a plate type heat exchanger. The water heater includes a combustion device generating combustion gas by burning fuel; a heat exchange device heating hot water by heat exchange with the combustion gas; and an exhaust part exhausting the combustion gas after heat exchange. The heat exchange device includes a plate laminate in which vertically standing plates are laminated with gaps, and the hot water is heated by alternately flowing the combustion gas and the hot water through the gaps of the plate laminate. The combustion gas flowing in a vertical direction from the combustion device is introduced vertically or substantially vertically into an introduction part provided on a combustion device side of the plate laminate, and a flow direction of the combustion gas in the plate laminate is reversed to discharge the combustion gas to the exhaust part.
Combustion air blower with embossed housing
A combustion air blower includes a blower housing, an impeller fan within the blower housing, and an embossment to restrict airflow from the combustion air blower. The blower housing has a discharge conduit defining a discharge passageway. The discharge conduit is adapted and configured to receive a baffle such that, when the baffle is received, the baffle extends inwardly into the discharge passageway from a first wall towards a second wall opposite the first wall. The baffle restricts airflow within the discharge passageway. The embossment is in the discharge passageway and in the second wall and extends towards the first wall such that the embossment restricts airflow within the discharge passageway. The embossment cooperates with a baffle to provide a reduced cross sectional area of the discharge passageway in comparison to an upstream portion.
Turbulator for heat exchanger
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a turbulator inserted into a tube of a heat exchanger, when it is assumed that the water flows horizontally along a water flow direction along the tube and a combustion gas flows vertically from an upper side to a lower side to cross the tube, and a direction that is perpendicular to both the water flow direction and an upward/downward direction is defined as a leftward/rightward direction, a body part extending along the water flow direction, having a plate shape that is perpendicular to the leftward/rightward direction, and inserted into the tube, and an upstream side wing part protruding from an upstream side portion of the body part with respect to the water flow direction along at least one direction of the leftward/rightward direction and extending in a direction that is inclined upwards with respect to the water flow direction.
Apparatus for rapid heating of liquids
Apparatus for rapid heating of a liquid including a heat source, a liquid flowpath defining element defining a liquid heating flowpath therein having a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet, a collection of flexible elongate thermal conductors located within the flowpath, the collection of flexible elongate thermal conductor portions being thermally coupled to the heat source and defining multiple liquid heating passageways through the flowpath whose configurations and cross-sectional dimensions change over time, thereby being resistant to clogging.
Tankless molded water heater
A tankless hot water heater has a molded body having an inlet and an outlet. The water heater has a clamshell design such that upper and lower portions are removably attached to one another. A channel extends from the inlet to the outlet. Heating elements extend through at least a portion of the channel and are configured to heat water flowing through the channel. Sensors are configured to measure temperature of water flowing through the channel prior to coming into contact with the heating element. Sensors measure flow rates, temperatures, presence of air, and/or other factors. A controller adjusts power supplied to heating elements using data from sensors.
Heat exchanger including flue flow path guide system
A guide system including a top end, a bottom end, a lumen and a plurality of openings, the system is disposed within a coil lumen at the bottom end of the heat exchanger coil with the bottom end of the system extending beyond the bottom end of the coil in a direction from the top end to the bottom end of the coil, the system configured in a shape of the coil lumen and the openings are disposed on the bottom end of the system, wherein the heat exchanger is configured to channel the flue flow from a burner through a path to heat a fluid flow of the coil before entering the lumen of the system via the openings to avoid a pressure drop due to a tendency for the flue flow to follow a path defined by a shape of the bottom end of the coil.
Baffles for thermal transfer devices
A baffle for a thermal transfer device can include a body having a multiple first apertures that traverse therethrough, where each first aperture has a first outer perimeter that includes a first base shape and at least one first protrusion extending from the first base shape. Each of the first apertures is configured to receive a tube. The first base shape of each first aperture has a first shape and a first size that is configured to be substantially the same as the first shape and the first size of an end of a tube.
KETTLE APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF
An improved boiler apparatus having a removably couplable heating element that can have resistive heating elements are provided with fixed resistances that can be rewired to allow variable wattage usage of the heating element. Some heating element assemblies can include more than one heating coils or heating element. The heating elements can be wired in series, or parallel thereby creating a low watt density but high wattage heater.
Air handling apparatus for HVAC systems
An air handling apparatus for a HVAC system of a building. The air handling apparatus includes an enclosure having at least one inlet opening for drawing outside air into the enclosure, and at least one outlet opening for directing air from within the enclosure to outside the enclosure. At least one fan is mounted within the enclosure for drawing air through the enclosure. A burner box is centrally located within the enclosure for heating outside air drawn into the enclosure through the at least one inlet opening.
