There is provided a generator system for generating power and heat. The system comprises an engine, an electrical power generator driven by the engine, a radiator for cooling engine coolant, a heater powered by the electrical power generator, and an airflow generation device driven by the engine. The heater has an airflow outlet and an airflow inlet. The airflow generation device has an air intake inlet and an air exhaust outlet. The system further comprises a first conduit directing airflow through the radiator into the air intake inlet of the airflow generation device. The system also includes a second conduit directing airflow from the air exhaust outlet of the airflow generation device to the airflow inlet of the heater. The airflow generation device may be a centrifugal fan that draws air through the radiator and pushes the air through the heater.

A system for precision temperature control of thermal bead baths used in biological laboratories to heat biological samples. An insulated outer shell and an inner shell sealed together to form a recirculation pathway. The inner shell has an air extraction port opening into the recirculation pathway and at least one air injection port opening into the recirculation pathway. A fan in the recirculation pathway draws air through the air extraction port. A thermal sensor is connected to a control and is disposed in close proximity to one of the air injection ports. Thermal beads are placed in a mesh basket inside the inner shell. The fan draws air from the inner shell through the beads and into the recirculation pathway, where the air is heated by a thermal element. The air flows past the thermal element and through the air injection ports back into the inner shell.

An improved boiler apparatus having multiple resistive heating elements are provided with fixed resistances that can be rewired to allow dual voltage capability and at the same time, reduced watt density. For 120V operation, the large diameter 9-ohm coil is used alone to provide the lowest possible watt density. For 240V operation, all three heating coils are wired in series, creating a low watt density but high wattage heater.

The hot-water supply system (1) is provided with a control unit which performs a notification process for notifying at least another, already-associated portable terminal device (30) that the portable terminal device (30) for performing remote control has been newly associated with the hot-water supply device (10). For example, a control unit of the server (50) performs the notification process as the control unit.

In a split system heat pump cooling and heating system, an auxiliary hot water storage tank is provided as an energy storage bank. Two sets of coils run through this storage tank, a first set carrying hot refrigerant from the heat pump to deposit energy and a second set carrying hot potable water to remove energy. Valve and switch matrixes are operated at the heat pump to provide hot potable water from the energy storage bank during both normal space heating and cooling operations of the heat pump.

A manually controlled and operable self-propelled seed bed sterilization system and method is provided for preventing weeds from growth in seed beds. The system includes a wheel driven shuttle vehicle having a hot water reservoir, a hot water applicator manifold housing, a dual-function pump and a controllable valve. A self-contained mobile hot water supply vehicle accompanies the shuttle vehicle and has a water heater with hose connections to the reservoir of the shuttle vehicle to provide a continuous water flow path. The burner of the water heater is controlled to heat the water in the range of about 205-207 degrees F. but below the boiling point of water not to create steam. The shuttle vehicle is displaced over the seed bed at a constant drive speed by an electric motor driven by a gas generator. An operator person guides the shuttle vehicle over the seed bed.

The disclosure provides a water heater. The water heater includes a water heater main body portion including a heat exchanger and a combustion device; a fan and a motor for driving the fan; an exterior case; and an air supply adapter mounted to an upper wall portion of the exterior case. The combustion device and the motor are positioned in a region near an upper portion within the exterior case. The combustion device is at least partly positioned between the air supply adapter and the fan in a plan view. An air outlet of the air supply adapter opens substantially horizontally, avoiding a direction directly facing the motor. The air flowing out from the air outlet is changed in direction by a side wall portion of the exterior case and flows to reach a portion of the motor.
