Articulated frame that supports mosquito netting over a bed
This invention provides protection from mosquitoes for an individual lying on a bed. An articulated frame supports mosquito netting over the exposed flesh of the individual. The articulated frame is easily deployed and retracted by the individual while lying on the bed. In the retracted position the bed is fully accessible for making-up or changing the bedding.
Localised personal air conditioning
A sleeping space air conditioner including a quiet low powered air conditioner 1, a sleeping space into which conditioned air is delivered, the sleeping space including an upper air pervious section 2 and a lower relatively air impervious section 3 surrounding a bed in the sleeping space, the impervious section 3 extending to a height above the sleeping surface of the bed sufficient to contain the conditioned air as it moves towards and returns from the opposite end or side of the sleeping space, the impervious section 3 extending to a sufficiently increased height above the sleeping surface at the opposite end or side to allow the direction of air flow to reverse towards said one end or side without substantial loss of conditioned air through the pervious section 2.
Collapsible All-Terrain Cot or Tent Apparatus
The present invention is directed to a lightweight, packable, all-terrain cot, tent or other apparatus that is designed to fit a multitude of configurations for use in different terrain situations. The apparatus is uniquely supported by a series of arch rods, tail and head bars, and sets of cables, that provide support for weight placed on the apparatus in a variety of environments regardless of whether the setting for said apparatus is a flat surface.
TEMPORARY SHELTER AND MOBILE CART
Embodiments of the invention are generally related to a mobile shelter, and more particularly to a movable storage container that converts into a shelter adequate for protection of its occupants against the elements, and optionally converts into a collapsed configuration suitable for transportation.
Portable Confinement Device
A portable confinement device for confining a person upon a mattress is provided. The device includes a frame and a flexible enclosure. The frame includes a base member and at least two upright members. The upright members include support portions and bridge portions connecting the support portions. The bridge portions are connected to the support portions by lockable hinges. When the hinges are locked, the bridge portions are in an upright position. When the hinges are unlocked, the bridge portions are in a downward, lowered position. The enclosure is supported by and sits upon the frame to stabilize the device from tipping over. A mattress may be received into the interior space of the enclosure. The enclosure includes an opening for allowing a person to enter or exit the interior space of the enclosure.
CRIB COVER
A cover for an infant confining device having a bottom, four sides, and an open top is described. The cover includes a body formed of a dark stretchable material and having at least one side with a top and bottom portion. The body is configured to stretch around the four sides of the infant confining device such that the top portion extends over the open top and the bottom portion extends to the bottom. The cover includes a roof flap of dark non-stretchable material with four sides. One side of the roof flap is coupled with the top portion of the body while the rest are unattached and larger than the infant confining device. The unattached sides of the roof flap drape over the top portion of the at least one side of the body and respective sides of the infant confining device.
CRIB ACCESSORY
A pop up cover for a crib is provided for providing a safe, comfortable and isolated environment for a child in a crib. The pop-up cover may be made of breathable fabric panels having an integrated frame, for example a flexible frame, which can be folded (collapsed) on itself, for example when folded in specific ways if appropriate force is applied and which keeps the fabric in a taught, open position when unfolded (preventing the panels form falling inwards onto each other). The pop up cover can be lightweight and compact, quick and easy to set up, dark inside and breathable.
Protective canopy for bed
The invention is a foldable protective canopy for attachment to a bed, the canopy comprising at least first, second and third generally U-shaped frames including respective ends joined at first and second hinges removably attachable to a bed, the canopy having a deployed position wherein the first and second U-shaped frames extend upwardly and the third U-shaped frame extends horizontally from the first and second hinges, a flexible sheet is secured to the first, second and third U-shaped frames, the sheet forming a top wall and side walls over the patient, the first U-shaped frame defining an opening into the canopy to permit room air to enter the canopy, the canopy including a folded position wherein the first and second U-shaped frames are rotatable about the first and second hinges toward the third U-shaped frame to expose the head of a patient.
Foldable playyard structure with top
An umbrella canopy that opens and closes not from a stick from within the interior of the umbrella canopy but from the exterior crown where a line is pulled to open the umbrella canopy and where a button is pushed to close the umbrella canopy. The interior of the umbrella canopy includes no stick to hold up the umbrella canopy. Taut edges of the umbrella canopy hold up the umbrella canopy, for instance, on the top edges of a playyard.
SLEEPING COMPARTMENT WITH A SLEEPING REGION AND AN ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTING CURTAIN
A sleeping compartment with a sleeping region and an electrically conducting curtain, which can be arranged around the sleeping region, having a rail system by which the conducting curtain is mounted in a displaceable manner. The rail system includes at least one rail and a multiplicity of connecting elements, the connecting elements being connected to the conducting curtain and being mounted in the at least one rail in a displaceable manner. The rail system is configured such that the conducting curtain is connected to the at least one rail in an electrically conducting manner, preferably such that the conducting curtain is earthed by way of the rail.
